To fake a letter from the council?

Have 4 children. 3 boys in one room. From 6 am (sometimes 5.30am) they wake up shout, bicker, squabble.
Scare each other. Chase each other.

"Get out of my bed!"
"I'm telling mum!!"
"That's mine!"
....que tears .

I'm sick to death of it. Seriously.

I don't know what to do. I've lost my temper so many times because my wake up call everyday is a barrage of noise and fighting.

AIBU to fake a letter from the council about noise pollution or a complaint from a neigbour saying they have to stop all the noises in the morning or we will be evicted?

I don't know what else to do. It's really upsetting me.

My mental health is already in decline for other reasons and this is just making me hate waking up.

Knowing their ages may help people come up with ideas OP.

My eldest wakes at 6 everyday, I just let him get on with his day on the condition he doesn't disturb everyone else. He's normally washed, dressed and breakfasted by 7.15 when he is allowed to watch TV.

He used to share with his younger brother and did wake him up to play which meant no TV for anyone before school.

Can you say the first one up has to stay in bed quiet till 6 then can get up without disturbing the others?

Someone from The Wright Stuff has seen this thread, they are talking about it today.

WorraLiberty · 20/10/2016 10:02

I was just about to say that.

Apparently it's going to be discussed in a few minutes Grin

SemiNormal · 20/10/2016 10:05

Just turned the TV on for it Grin

ProfessorPickles · 20/10/2016 10:06

Also watching Grin

Actually because the OP didn't say how old the kids are, I've just searched and it turns out the boys are 12yrs old and 6yrs old.

They wake up at 6am but the OP doesn't want to get up until 7.30am.

I would tell the 12yr old to go and watch TV/read a book in the lounge.

There's no need for them to stay in the same room together until the OP gets up.

Worra you researched better than that show, at least you got their ages.

SeventeenRainbeaus · 20/10/2016 10:41

I'm here because I saw it on Wright Stuff, ha!

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 20/10/2016 10:51

So what was the Wright Stuff's take on this?
(not able to watch)
