Can they get off our boards please?

I don't understand

Hillfarmer · 18/10/2016 16:42

And British Gas and any other commercially sponsored thread? It's liked being mugged by a Bounty rep on a maternity ward. We should be safe here.

Sorry Applejac I keep getting these strange 'promotional' threads on this board that pop up and pop down. Weird. Is it just me?

I take it you haven't seen this thread in Site Stuff www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/2758036-Native-ads-on-Mumsnet-Talk-topics started by Justine?

You know - Justine who owns Mumsnet.

I already posted on it yesterday saying I thought it all looked a bit 'spammy'. Feel free to join in that thread - not many MNers have so far.

Was I hallucinating? There was an Ebay-sponsored thread on here asking 'Are you ready for Fright Night' which linked through to an Ebay Halloween page. And then there was a British Gas thread with a picture of Mike Tindall.

Sorry everyone. As you were.

Ok Fru. Thanks, I thought I was going mad because they disappeared.

Ahh I see what you mean now!

They annoy me when I accidentally click on them.

I suppose the money they get from them helps keep the website running
