It would be noticeable on a child under 1 and that is about it.

StormStrike · 16/10/2016 19:54

OP, I can see a 3lb weight gain and I'm heavier than you. I'm not sure why some posters don't believe you. Confused I'm sure other people can't tell though.

I've just come back from a trip away and I can see that my tum is rounder than usual. I'm guessing that the weight gain over my preferred weight will be around 3lbs. I've had a low cal supper and will slowly loose the weight over the next couple of weeks. It's no big deal.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 16/10/2016 19:55

How does constipation affect weight? Is it the weight of stored up turds?Grin

EternallyYouthful · 16/10/2016 19:57

I was going to comment that 3lbs could no way be noticable but now I've found out that it is the equivalent to the human brain.

Of course it fucking is Hmm. Do you think that suits are weightless? Jesus H Christ.

I weigh myself every Saturday morning but occasionally get on the scales on a Friday evening before having a bath - I am always at least 3lb heavier at night. I doubt anyone would notice. I also shoot up 2/3 pounds just after ovulating, and up to seven before my period starts. (I'm 5ft 6 and weighed ten stone yesterday morning - who knows right now...!)

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 16/10/2016 20:08

But I'm genuinely shocked! I never thought of a shit weighing much.

How much do they weigh anyway?

NameChanger22 · 16/10/2016 20:09

Throw away the scales and buy elasticated waists, it's the only way.

StormStrike · 16/10/2016 20:10

My weight varies over the course of the day and over the course of my menstrual cycle but I can still tell if I've put a few pounds on.

Alfiedoggy · 16/10/2016 20:11

Seeing a new boyfriend on Thurs. ..hoping he won't notice Confused

OP posts:
Thingmcthingyface · 16/10/2016 20:13

He might like it!

Muser54321 · 16/10/2016 20:14

I can see it on myself. I've put on about four or five pounds. Only 5'2" and now 9 stone and I need to lose four or five pounds. Starting tomorrow morning.

Alfiedoggy · 16/10/2016 20:14

True !! You see that is something I never even thought about! !! I guess thinner isn't always better....thank you!!!!

OP posts:
StormStrike · 16/10/2016 20:15

A new BF definitely wouldn't notice. That would be weird. I hope you are not genuinely worried about it. Confused Hmm

Blankiefan · 16/10/2016 20:15

I weigh 3lbs more in the evening than the morning!

Alfiedoggy · 16/10/2016 20:16

I am actually genuinely worried about it! !!

OP posts:
monkeysox · 16/10/2016 20:18

That's ridiculous. I've had a four pound poo. Hth

SeasonalVag · 16/10/2016 20:23

Don't get too excited, guys, I once weighed myself before and after a massive poo....200g difference!

But...a litre of water weighs a kilo!!!

Four pound poo?! I feel like a failure.

Liara · 16/10/2016 20:32

I am 5ft 4 and 8 and a half stone and there is no way 3lb shows on me. I am sure I vary more than that in weight depending on when I weigh myself in my cycle.

In fact I don't weigh myself more than a few times a year, but it can vary by up to 5 lbs between those times and no one (including me) notices any difference.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 16/10/2016 20:34

I'm surprised you lost 4lbs gardening Dixie Shock. You're right, it probably was water loss, unless you had cut off an arm with the hedge trimmer.

OP, Your weight will fluctuate by a few pounds. It's nothing to worry about and quite easy to lose again over a couple of weeks.

Sorry, Dixie, it's miserable here and raining Sad. Respect to you for gardening in that heat, I think I'd have to lie down.

moomoo222 · 16/10/2016 20:48

Nope, absolutely not & it is really not healthy to care one way or the other. & agree with pp's you can easily fluctuate this much day to day or after a large poo! New boy won't notice or care, if he does (which would be very weird) he really isn't worth it!
