I think that it's more to do with the total unbalanced market dynamics of the major mults. Tesco et al have too much power.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 13/10/2016 22:15

Less than they did, thank God. Tesco have always gouged their suppliers and Unilever thought they could with a bit of a kicking. As most of us will buy a Unilever product as part of the weekly shop, Tesco cant do without them.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 13/10/2016 22:16

Could DO with

Sparklesilverglitter · 13/10/2016 22:17

The silly marmite thing is all sorts now anyway isn't it?

HerRoyalNotness · 13/10/2016 22:19

Storm in a teacup really. But it shows how globalisation is not a good thing. The few companies that own so much of what we buy.

FoxesOnSocks · 13/10/2016 22:20

Are we ok then. We still have marmite?

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 13/10/2016 22:20

Marmite should be classed as an offensive weapon so any steps to eradicate it should be applauded Wink

Guavaf1sh · 13/10/2016 22:22

There will be plenty of opportunities for 'I told you so'. Calm down

Bill Nighy this evening thanked me and others for coming out to see the film he is in, during the Marmite Crisis.
