I'm 26, a single sahm to my 2 year old dd. Next year she will be going to nursery and I will be finding work. Everyone is getting married, pregnant, living life and I feel like I'm at a stand still.

I want to meet someone and have more children, I want to share my life with someone and try new things with. I feel really depressed about it today. I feel fat, tired and useless Sad

Well, when DD is at nursery that frees up you a bit to indulge in something that you enjoy. You could join the nursery PFA and meet some new friends?

Having a small child can be isolating. You're not alone there, but there's 100 million ways to change how you are feeling today.

You've got multiple different needs confused with wanting to be married.

You want more children.
You want companionship.
You want to try new things.
You want to feel like your life is moving forwards.
You want to be slimmer.
You want to have more energy.
You want to feel useful.

You can get all of these needs met without a white knight. In fact, if you relied on marriage providing them you would be disappointed.

Tbh, I'd say sort all the things on that list, without any attempt at finding a husband. Then see how you feel. Btw companionship can come from a solid friend group.

I think you need something just for you right now. Does your DD dad have her overnight or do you have any family that help you? If so could you look at getting out to a hobby class ( something crafty, exercise class etc whatever your in too) you would meet new people and it would give you a little confidence boost!

Do you have friends you see often?
Do you take the baby to any groups at all?

In time when you feel ready why not try online dating, these days you can meet a large array of people online

I think when your f2f goes to nursery your life will open up. Getting a job will also help because you will then meet a whole lot of new people. I think when you actively look for something it's hard to find so I would just enjoy your dd and live life and the right person will come along at the right time x
