2 week old baby had me up half the night. Midwife booked between 8:30 and 12:30 and visitors due at half 1 so first chance for a nap when little one nodded off at 12:50.

My head had just touched the sofa when some fucking arsehole HAMMERED on the front door!
He didn't even want our fucking address! I have no idea how I didn't rip his stupid face off.
Fuck fuck fuckety fuck! Baby screaming, not enough time for a nap before visitors. Absolutely shattered.
Am considering putting a note of warning on the door. What should I put?

I hate it when people do this. A few months ago, we had a knock at the door one Saturday night when DH and I were quite pissed. Despite the dog barking, I ignored it but they started being really persistent and then a bloke shouted 'Hello..?' through the letterbox whilst the dog went bananas in the hallway.

I opened it, holding the dog back by the collar, to find two men who were due to a party but couldn't remember if it was 58 or 68 (we're 68) so rather than checking by calling the host they just started hammering on number 68. Even when no-one answered and they started shouting through the letterbox, they still didn't click that 68 just might not be party central. Idiots.

Haha. I think I would have killed Gary Barlow if he'd banged on the door like that. I am ridiculously enraged!

DH offered to buy me an air rifle.

I hate the doorstep collectors at the best of times but now am really annoyed.

What is wrong with knocking normally?

The Amazon delivery guy does that. We have a "safe place" which he uses and then proceeds to hammer the front door as he goes back to his van. No idea why!

Other couriers seem to be able to put parcels in the safe place without disturbing me reading MN working!

Similar situation but people seem to knock when I have my boob out!!! Ive resorted to putting a note up when I'm expecting deliveries!!

The amount of time Iv had people knock my back door (no garden but it's not on a road either) only to see a man with a takeaway who I then have to say right number wrong street! Half of them even accuse me of lying
