Binge watching sex and the city thanks to a horrendous cold.

The jukes and mimi viewing between Miranda and Robert is hilariously cringeworthy but also v v funny...

Second the Joss Stone and Michael Barrymore ones - I watched both and felt like I wanted the ground to swallow me up.

Aaaaaargh...

MrsJayy · 12/10/2016 10:30

Gawd yes Joss stone went to America for a month and came back with an American accent it was so cringy.

JoffreyBaratheon · 12/10/2016 10:32

Tater, no not his show (I can't bring myself to watch it) but this ad with the T Rex song, desperately trying to confer some cool on the least cool person on the planet. I hate it that they've put the music of someone I liked, over this gurning twit. And because it's an ad you have no warning it's coming. My kids watch this cringey TV show he hosts, as well, with Freddie Flintoff, etc. It always strikes me as him trying to impress the sort of lads who'd have flicked wet towels at him in the changing rooms at school. And I feel bad because I should be on his side. But I can't be. He makes me squirm.

Whowouldfardelsbear · 12/10/2016 10:32

Yep Keith Chegwin in Naked Jungle.

I was trying to describe this to a New Zealander who had seen Cheggers in an episode of Extras, but didn't really know who it was. It actually defied explanation.

JoffreyBaratheon · 12/10/2016 10:34

Re. the Jarvis stage invasion - I was already squirming at MJ and everything about him (sorry, fans of MJ) and so was cheering Jarvis on, as it happened...

MyGiddyUncle

If you've ever seen National Lampoon's European Vacation (you should, it's fab!) they based the game show host in that on Richard Dawson. In the film he goes for proper full on tongue kisses!

Richard Dawson was a right bastard behind the scenes apparently, that's why they got him to play the psycho game show host in The Running Man - apparently the director and Arnie thought nobody would be able to play it as realistically as he could!

maybethedayafter · 12/10/2016 11:00

Anytime a child sings.

BowieFan · 12/10/2016 11:02

For me, you'll never get more awkward than these 7 minutes:

Just everything about it. The being proud of going out with Jodie Marsh, the telling the first girl she was his pick (and thus turning all the over girls off him), the really awful attempts to be quirky with the meerkat thing. Everything about it is just absolutely bloody awful.

It's stuck in my mind years later!

BowieFan · 12/10/2016 11:05

Oh this as well. I used to love The Crystal Maze and was pissing myself watching this live. I've never seen Richard get so frustrated before or since! "PRESS U3!!!" Grin I'm still laughing now, 20-odd years later.

Cliff Richard Wired for Sound video is funny

Can't believe this thread has got this far, and no one has mentioned "Something for the Weekend" ...

LurkingHusband · 12/10/2016 11:23

I also notice that "" has been collectively forgotten Grin

TroubledTrouble · 12/10/2016 11:24

Richard Blackwood not knowing how to zest a lemon

user1475253854 · 12/10/2016 11:27

whowould WTF?!?! Shock Shock
It does defy explanation.

maddiemookins16mum · 12/10/2016 11:32

Joey Essex.

MrsJayy · 12/10/2016 11:36

Yes just Joey Essex on anything lets put the thick boy on telly

TaterTots · 12/10/2016 11:41

JoffreyBaratheon - We're both thinking of the same ad, but in my head the track was 'Cars' by Gary Numan. Now I remember that's one of the other ads in the series. You're right, it's 'Get it On' by T-Rex in the green light one.

lionheart · 12/10/2016 11:42

Bloody hell Shock.

You're absolutely right, Hesterton. That hideous clip says so much about the 1970s.

Mozfan1 · 12/10/2016 11:49

That first kiss show where the guy walks in to kiss the girl and he doesn't kiss her he just gives her a fucking awkward hug and she's well hard done by

Will find out what the shows called

Mozfan1 · 12/10/2016 11:52

Love at first kiss m.youtube.com/watch?v=dBo5-6WotEM

Mozfan1 · 12/10/2016 12:02

Fucking hell that video of hutchence and Yates. The way they looked at eachother!

He was such a fox 😈

JoffreyBaratheon · 12/10/2016 12:02

Oh heck, I just watched back that Britain's Got Talent clip of the pushy stage mother and the poor little sobbing girl. I remember we laughed heartily throughout it when watching it live. Now I feel bad. Poor kid.

Can you imagine going through the rest of your school life with other kids belting out 'Edelweiss' then laughing?

DailyMailPenisPieces · 12/10/2016 12:05

Hesterton that is awful - so shocking. Why in the fuck weren't people listening to those kids' instincts.

Redwhiteorrose · 12/10/2016 12:16

Steve McLaren developing a bizarre Dutch accent, so cringe worthy

Redwhiteorrose · 12/10/2016 12:19

Oh and Mark Wahlberg pissed on Graham Norton. The shame.
