Binge watching sex and the city thanks to a horrendous cold.

The jukes and mimi viewing between Miranda and Robert is hilariously cringeworthy but also v v funny...

ArmySal I'm hiding behind the sofa Grin

All Mr Bean episodes ever.

Ditto Frank Spencer.

ollieplimsoles · 12/10/2016 00:01

Has anyone mentioned Hollie Steele? That 10 year old girl who froze on front of the camera during her performance of 'Edelweiss' live on BGT. She just started crying halfway through and her mum had to come up and comfort her, then she threw a mini tantrum after Ant and Dec told her she couldn't redo it due to timings of the show...

I almost died watching it and to this day I cant watch it again it's too painful...

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 12/10/2016 00:01

Very valid sentiments, but definitely an awkward moment for Hillary Clinton:

Every single thing Nicole Shitsinger has ever said but especially when she adds a 'sh' sound to the start. Just, no.

That chat show host is appalling. I wasn't around in the 70s but I can't imagine how that could've been ok. Yuck.

First dates - think it was a celebrity type version and there was a very fit (possibly Welsh) rugby player on it and his date just kept making lewd suggestions and being totally over the top and camping it up to the max. I wanted to crawl up inside myself with embarrassment.

Whenever Holly willoughby and Phillip Schofield do a segment with Phil Vickery. He always looks like he'd like to stab them with the nearest kitchen implement.

Also, relatedly, when people like Phillip schofield or eamonn Holmes or some clean cut pop star go on celebrity juice and use swear words randomly to seem cool and edgy.

Haudyerwheesht · 12/10/2016 00:15

ollie I do remember Hollie but she did get to sing it again after the break. I will never understand why parents allow kids to put themselves on such a highly pressurised show. Never.

GladysKravitz · 12/10/2016 00:24

This thread is amazing but also agony.

The One Show cut from a pre-recorded item with gardener lady Christine Walkden to an American star (maybe Paul Rudd?) in the studio who clearly thought she was a man. He kept calling her 'he', I wanted to die for him (and her).

The Last Leg showed some clips of a football manager scratching his privates and sniffing his fingers, repeatedly. How he goes on living I don't understand, I barely did watching that.

Whenever Peter Kay is on a chat show, I want him to be likeable but he always gets very subtly arsey and starts climbing the set and undermining the host.

Any woman on live tv who doesn't know she has lipstick on her teeth.

She did didn't she! I remember now simon said they would find the time from somewhere and she ended up staying in the contest and that other guy who tried really hard with his performance got booted out, that was also agony to behold.

bananafish · 12/10/2016 00:41

Piers Morgan and Ian Hislop on Have I got news for you. They were just taking chunks out of each other - the mutual hatred was palpable. It got pretty uncomfortable though. Felt as though someone needed to rein them in and Angus Deayton wasn't doing it.

atomicpanda · 12/10/2016 00:43

Robbie Williams at the height of his fame accepting a Brit award presented by Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash. He grabs the award without acknowledging them and then challenges Liam Gallagher to a fight. I wonder what he'd think now if he looked back at it?

I also remember the Chris de Burgh stars in your eyes and yes it was cringe!

EverySongbirdSays · 12/10/2016 00:51

Either after or before that bananafish but around that whole saga. Piers Morgan sent his employees to stalk Hislop DAILY and at one point his VICAR rang him to tell him he'd been approached by journalists from Morgans rag asking him to sell them his confessions!

Loathsome toad.

Paul Merton vs Caroline Quentin on HIGNFY either after they'd separated or just before they did, as so horrendous as well.

Also the night they ripped Deayton a new one for his prostitute saga

atomicpanda · 12/10/2016 00:52

I remember the episode after the Angus Deayton saga. I'm surprised he turned up for work!

OlennasWimple · 12/10/2016 00:54

Angus Deyton on HIGNFY after the prostitute story came out

So many cringeworthy moments on this thread that I had forgotten, but know instantly when someone says "X when Y happened at Z" Grin

John Cleese on Chattyman

YvaineStormhold · 12/10/2016 04:21

Most awkward YouTube video ever. Full body cringe from start to finish.

Not strictly TV, but still...

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 12/10/2016 04:28

I feel better about myself for seeing that.

dances awkwardly

dylsmimi · 12/10/2016 04:47

When the lovely Jarvis Cocker stage bombed Michael Jackson at the Brits. To be fair Michael Jackson's performance was the real cringeworthy part of it, but he was so huge at the time everyone (excluding Jarvis) thought it was utterly brilliant. I believe Jarvis was actually taken to the police station afterwards.

The stage bombing is around 3:10

dailyfailplagiarism · 12/10/2016 05:34

Paul McCartney at the Olympic ceremony.

NightWanderer · 12/10/2016 05:40

Also Paula Yates interviewing Michael Hutchence on the Big Breakfast. She was still married to Bob Geldoff at the time.
