You can get some that's like that, but nearly all of the ones I watch have had a bit of foreplay and lead up to the events.

Yes, I've been watching Roanoke too. Don't really like the format but apparently in Episode 6 there's going to be a huge twist so I'm looking forward to that. I feel like the premise was used purely because the stable of actors is getting bigger and bigger and they had to find a way to use all of them.

I do think the story itself is really interesting though, even with Kathy Bates' weird accent!
