How do you get rid of them and not pick at them? I've had 2 on my chin for what seems like ages and because I am a picker it is still there. Ive now noticed twice it has a head underneath it but I cannot seem to shoft it/

Can anyone help? Im very conscious of it

Pin wiped down with nail varnish remover. Stick it in.

I'm sure others will say I shouldn't but it works.

Tried that atticus. It feels quite deep down so I slapped some vapour rub on (after trying toothpaste, perfume, savlon etc) and it did draw some out. I tried squeezing further but no :( Nothing and my face looks awful because of it.

Freederm fast track gel might work to shrink down the swelling so you can get at the plug.

Get an extractor, they are amazing. You can sterilise them properly and wont scratch the skin like nails do. It also mean you can apply pressure in the right direction (down) rather than squeezing which forces any pus inwards making it even more swollen!

Extract then freederm gel works really well on even the huge ones for me
I bought mine from the body shop. Don't use toothpaste or vapour rub!! :/

Products containing glycolic acid seem to work wonders for me.
I went to have microdermabrasion done in Manchester at one of those sk:n clinics and they recommended one of their glycolic gel washes that also contains salicylic acid too. Amazing stuff.

Also, try Avene products. You can buy them in Boots. They are also very good.

Don't try ProActiv though- it's SHIT!

If you want to draw it, you need some proper paste from the chemist. All you're doing at the moment is making it angry and more sore!

Tea tree oil and a little plaster. The tea tree kills the bugs and the plaster stops you picking. Lavender too if it's really angry. Best done overnight. This is the only thing that works for me, I've had acne for years and only recently got it under control with this method

I put fucidic acid on inflamed spots (not normal spots). That helps calm down the angry redness and pulsating jelly. My doctor prescribed it when I went in with an entirely different problem. He took one look at my face and recoiled in horror - and then I had to tell him it wasn't my face that was the problem...

Yes it's the same stuff but might not be quite as strong as the stuff I bought from the clinic.
I've found those rapid action treatments that you posted about to be ok if it's just for the odd spot. If it's full blown acne then it doesn't do much really. A couple of spots on your chin I'd definitely give something like that a go.

It's fancy and slightly pricy but La Roche Porsay effaclur blemish treatment works well if you have sensitive skin. But mostly you have to resist the urge to pick. I know, easier said than done.

Stuff with salicylic acid is great. But if you don't habitually get spots off wouldn't change your skincare to a spot-reducing one as they're often really harsh and might cause other problems, whereas hopefully these are ones that are temporary due to the weather change.

I have adult acne by the way Just when the spots go down new ones appear on a weekly basis. I haven't used anything strong for a while now and you can tell. I just have no time to go out and buy it. The dr prescribed me some benzoyl peroxide cream and it did nothing for me.
I also used to take anti bacterial tablets called Lymecycline. These kept my acne at bay for a while. I've been contemplating taking them again but I have heard that they can discolour your teeth! Don't know if that is true though.
