Venting here really as I am quite proud that I have managed not to scream 'FFS pack it in' over this bloody craze.
I KNOW it is harmless fun but argh how hard is it to remember not to do it in the house or places that will annoy people? And use a throwaway water bottle not a fucking sticky juice one so if it splits it doesn't matter?
Tell me I'm not alone...

Mine only ever do it with cheap Aldi water bottles and has never split.

Not allowed in the house nor in the garden. Actually not allowed anywhere I am! Drives me crazy........

Was not impressed a few weeks ago when I walked in lounge to find teenage Dec teaching toddler dc! So I have put my foot down!!!

12 year old ds is completely obsessed with this. Any bottle will do but apparently a smart water bottle is best. He's taken to watching youtube videos to gage the best water / bottle ratio Confused
We also have trillions of tiny divets in the oak floor in the lounge caused by the bottles landing too hard.
Where on earth did this craze come from?

Bottle flipping here. We're not even in the fucking uk.

It's driving me bananas

Dabbing is mildly irritating, especially when they do it when the whistle goes for lining up. Bottle flipping drives me bonkers. I've had to break up two fights already where one child has kicked off because another landed their flip. Thankfully only one of my own dc seems remotely interested in it.

5 lessons a day, at least 5 boys in each class told to put water bottles away... It's driving me nuts.

Don't know what dabbing is though!

Ah! Ds2 was doing this with a friend a couple of days ago at football training. I was Hmm and wondering what the hell they were doing, I didn't realise it was a 'thing'.

Banned at our school too Grin

Luckily, DS is only 10 months so I hope there's a while before annoying school habits find their way home!

I'm another one outside the UK or US and it's all the rage here too in the school where I work!!! It keeps them entertained at break time and all pretty innocent, cheap fun, but yes, bloody annoying!

Dabbing is where you put the back of your hand to your forehead and flail the other arm out.
It I'd not filled with the potential for excitement, but that doesn't stop them loving it.

They're doing it here on the other side of the pond, too. Something else to rant about apart from election shit.

Well, we don't really allow them to have bottles on their desks at Secondary either Euphemia but that doesn't stop them chancing their arm!

I've lost count of the bottles I've confiscated - usually to a chorus of "that's not fair, blah, blah, blah!"

Hooray I'm not alone!

I have tried joining in and yes it is kind of addictive. But only in the Right Place.

Of course no bottles have actually broken which is annoying in a way because I want to be Right. Confused
