I get up the earliest I get up all week as I work every Sunday and even though we don't open that early we start early as funnily enough the shelves don't fill themselves Grin people are very surprised when I tell them I've been there a few hours before we even open.

Ragwort · 09/10/2016 20:29

Chores then Church (different ones in our family Grin) - homework for teenage DS in the afternoon, DH & I often go for a walk. More chores. Today I had a nap as I was exhausted. Committee work. Cook a big meal - sometimes a roast. Mumsnetting. Occasionally invite my parents over for a meal.

Not very exciting Grin.

iklboo · 09/10/2016 20:34

Stand is usually cold fields watching DS play rugby.

MadamDrag0n · 09/10/2016 20:34

Work. There's more than a little bit of me that hates you all a bit. But it makes it easier during the holidays having weekdays off.

FunkinEll · 09/10/2016 20:39

3 of my DC play rugby every Sunday so that lasts until lunchtime then we usually just potter around doing homework, washing, cooking etc.

MyGiddyUncle · 09/10/2016 20:42

Get up by 7.30, let the dc do whatever they want ipad and drink coffee, doing as little as possible until 9am. Dc get their own breakfast.

Then get showered and me and two dc ready and out of the house by 9.45. Then spend between 9.45 and 1pm standing on a football field watching the dc play.

How I long for torrential rain on a Sunday! It means we go nowhere which is my idea Sunday.

Bobochic · 09/10/2016 20:48

DP has a training session at the gym. DD does homework, which I supervise from a distance and sometimes help with. I go shopping and cook a big lunch.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 09/10/2016 20:52

Quite worried KingscoteStaff and her comment of "Eat dinner + grandparents + 2 other friends"

Glad I'm no friend of yours!!!!!!!!! Wink

drinkupbaby · 09/10/2016 20:52

Usually cooking and eating a full English or leftover pizza whilst watching Sunday Brunch and catching up with Instagrams and snapchats from everyone's Saturday nights.

I'll pretty much do this all day.

LuluNTutu · 09/10/2016 20:54

Church then Sunday lunch

NattyTile · 09/10/2016 21:22

Church then big extended family lunch, then Nice Healthy Walk or board games or something non electronic and together. Recently, blackberrying, jigsaw puzzles, attempting 3D gingerbread.

AgedRelative · 09/10/2016 21:24

Today we built Lego, went for a walk by the sea. Bliss.

Ilovewillow · 09/10/2016 21:26

DD's swimming lesson followed by supervising homework! Rock 'n roll, afternoon was fun though took DD and DS to national trust place locally to tree climb and collect conkers!

isseywithcats · 09/10/2016 21:51

work from 6 till 11 then other half picks me up from work on the motorbike and we go for a ride with the club we are members of today went from Halifax to Settle and Hawes where they make Wensleydale cheese was a fab day, if the weather is wet go home from work and do basically nothing all day except cook and eat

ForalltheSaints · 09/10/2016 21:57

Go to church, prepare Sunday lunch, do things about the house.

BowieFan · 09/10/2016 21:57

Today for DP and DS1 was spent mostly at A&E. DS1 fractured his ankle playing football and DP dislocated his knee slipping on some mud when he ran across the pitch to see what happened to DS1. Bloody goons, the pair of them.

Me and DS2 went to pick them up about an hour ago and now they're recovering. DS1 will probably have to have tomorrow off school as they can't put the proper cast on it until Tuesday.

sarahquilt · 09/10/2016 22:00

Bikram yoga and then a continental breakfast

cheekyfunkymonkey · 09/10/2016 22:01

Church, then lazy day in and usually Sunday lunch.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 09/10/2016 22:02

Coffee and mooching about the house in PJs mostly. This morning we played some board games too.

SabineUndine · 09/10/2016 22:20

Slob around and then go for a long walk.

MariposaUno · 09/10/2016 22:24

I get up stupidly early for a Sunday and go to course, Saturdays are my day of rest and fun onlyEnvy

AmeliaJack · 10/10/2016 05:23

BeeBeeEight you asked about church attendance. You are right rolls have declined over the years, but about 2% of the UK's population still attends church every week.

If that doesn't sound very much bear in mind only 2.75% of the UK's population attends a football match every week.

People just talk a lot more about football. Smile You might actually find there are more people you know attending than you realise.

Attendances obviously rise exponentially at big festivals such as Christmas and Easter of course.

MsJamieFraser · 10/10/2016 06:27

I mnetted for a little then ds1 had football and then ds2 had rock climbing. We then went food shopping with dh fitted the cladding on our bathroom.

Went to Mil for dinner, came home done a few washings, played board games with the kids and then watched a film.

Boomerwang · 10/10/2016 08:11

When I have my daughter I spend Sunday morning panicking about what we can do that day. If the weather is bad I panic even more. I hate being stuck inside with my girl. She's awesome of course, but she gets bored easily. Her toys are only fun if someone else plays with her and mummy sucks at it. She'll start the day with cereal, but not long after finishing she'll ask for crisps and juice and I want to say no but I never do, because it keeps her busy for a short while. In the meantime? I'm sitting here on MN trawling AIBU and Chat because I'm still 'waking up'.

I want to take her out down to a park where I can pick up leaves and weeds while she plays, but she's bored with playing on her own and doesn't know any kids outside of daycare. I try to play with her but unlike her father I don't have a kid in me and find getting down on the ground waving my legs in the air and screeching isn't something I can manage.

The afternoon is spent round the grandparents house, which isn't much fun for me but it's a bit of respite. If they happen to be away that weekend then we just stagnate in the flat until bedtime.

fishonabicycle · 10/10/2016 08:47

Summer I generally do a workout of some sort, winter I take my son to football - I stay and watch him play. I really enjoy that unless it's cold and rainy.
