AIBU? Security guard adding me on Facebook

I live in student flats. Each flat is a studio so I live alone. There was a new guy on security tonight. I went to get a parcel. He spent a while studying my ID then said my name was lovely. I was a bit taken aback but mumbled something about it being an uncommon name, took my parcel and left.

Three hours later, I got a friend request from him.

I am really weirded out by this and think it's inappropriate. Aibu?

It's really inappropriate if you're a student. You need to speak to the university about that if you're in accommodation owned by them.

Bit creepy.

Jinglebells99 · 05/10/2016 22:27

That would me too, can you report him to the university?

AmbivalentGirl · 05/10/2016 22:34

I will do that tomorrow. Thanks everyone.

Please report it. That is not acceptable. Do you have a door chain or a wedge to stick under the door to your flat? (Good idea to use it just in general, not specifically because this guy has been inappropriate).

Very creepy. Screenshot then block, and absolutely report him. I'd mention it to other residents too, especially female ones.
