To think that this is the world's most expensive Advent Calendar?

I'm not going to tell you the price. But it's here

It is on Amazon. If you don't want to click the link, google Drinks by the Dram: the old and walnut rare whisky advent calendar.

WhoTF? I mean, seriously, whoTF would buy this? Did they only produce 10 boxes for the 10 richest people in the world?

They are not there before the grammar police arrive - AM full of cold and am dyslexic which annoyingly tends to get worse when unwell so grumble to yourself

VanillaSugarandChristmasSpice · 03/10/2016 23:28

We won't grumble poppypickles - some of us here are quite nice people.

Hastily clears cookies!!

Madeyemoodysmum · 03/10/2016 23:35

Accidentally Blush

buttfacedmiscreant · 04/10/2016 01:02

sorry I assumed it was you. Perhaps it is mums net changing the link to earn money to pay for the site.

Yes, that is an insane advent calendar.... especially as I think many whiskies taste like dirt.

PoppyPicklesPenguin · 04/10/2016 01:05

I bloody hate the grammar police, I only have it very mildly (have an English degree) but really struggle when unwell or tired and it's so embarrassing when someone comes along and makes you feel pathetic about something that really upsets and bothers you. Anyhooo...

DC in our family did something very similar with Amazon.. thankfully not £10k but enough for me to have my card declined that evening at the fish and chip shop.

Tuktuktaker · 04/10/2016 06:55

These aren't too bad value, given that Christmas Crackers are usually ridiculously expensive. (Apologies if someone has already linked to this, I didn't see it when I skim read the thread.)

VanillaSugarandChristmasSpice · 04/10/2016 07:03

Oh yes tuktuk - and you get free delivery with the crackers as well! !😅

Can't believe Amazon are selling it!

JigokuShojou · 04/10/2016 10:19

"Liberty Advent Calendar 2016 launches at the end of October and is £149."

AlisonJuggler · 04/10/2016 10:36

What a beautiful way to count down to the celebration of the birth of the baby Jesus Grin Hic!

Idliketobeabutterfly · 04/10/2016 11:41

It could be a place holder price atm

RabbitsNap01 · 04/10/2016 11:43

i thought i'd splashed out buying the expensive joint advent calendar with chocs for DD and I. It wasn't as good as it looked! Now I want the liberty one but it's the price of a nice jumper!

Idliketobeabutterfly · 04/10/2016 11:46

You can get both YBD and LF for same price as Liberty.

PoppyPicklesPenguin · 04/10/2016 12:44

The crackers are much more reasonable although I did see an advent calendar by the same company for £150.

FIL loves his whisky and last few years I've made crackers and put in a nice miniature for him.

Off to find posh smelly product crackers now :)

And I'm getting the liberty one :) hopefully

zofranks · 04/10/2016 13:34

holy moly that's a LOT of money for a dram a day!!

shovetheholly · 04/10/2016 15:36

My friends get them. They don't cost £10k - that's just some kind of place-holder price the seller has put on. They are more like £150.

It is still really expensive for what are effectively a load of pretty easy-to-get and not very exciting whiskies. You can buy a bottle of Ardbeg Uigedail for £60 or so.

I do NOT get miniatures.

Oblomov16 · 04/10/2016 15:47

Where do you get the gin me pelase?
And do they do a wine one?
A Proseeco one for my friends - I don't like it, but all my friends do.

And if there isn't a wine one or a Proseeco one, whoever NOT? Angry

Oblomov16 · 04/10/2016 15:54

wineadvent
£69.99
A possibility, me thinks.

PoppyPicklesPenguin · 04/10/2016 16:42

The actual company does sell one at £10,000 it includes a sample of one of their £19,000 bottle of whisky. They start at £150

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/10/2016 17:01

Wow. That a lot for a small slug of booze daily

I got a Yankee Calender last year. Loved it. Smellies that lasted for hours and think was £20ish

goose1964 · 04/10/2016 17:52

And I thought the Milton Brown on was expensive, think it's around £120

OzziePopPop · 04/10/2016 18:05

Wow, I thought the Smiggle ones I've been blackmailed into buying my two DC's at £28 each (faints) were ludicrous!

I'm so excited you can get smelly, lovely, gorgeous ones for adults... I'm off to google!

moogoom · 04/10/2016 18:16

Wonder how much it will be on amazon prime day. Maybe so they can legitimately say 90% off
