Where's your lady cave?

Not a euphemism, it's the only thing I could think of for the female equivalent of a ManCave.

Just about to complete on first house and DH has already placed dibs on the basement as his domain.

Initially I was Grin at the thought of no longer having to put up with his hoards of shite hobby strewn around the home. However, now I'm a bit Envy - when do I get my own space and why's there no such thing as a lady cave?!

AIBU, do you have your own space at home?

Oh, and there's a mini stepper and hand weights tucked behind one sofa. I take my tablet in there and watch programmes downloaded on iPlayer while I use the stepper and weights.

I have designs on DC1's bedroom once University starts, to make it into a study/craft room with one of those swinging desks that don't need clearing off when the bed is pulled down.

But really apart from when someone's sleeping or doing homework the whole house is a free-for-all. Our bedroom has the second TV and kids' DVDs in it so no privacy there, either.
