I'm trying to get my house in a fit state for home birth with two toddlers around- had a row with DH about cleaning the bathroom and he flounced to bed at 7 pm and REFUSES to get up and help therefore forcing me to clean every room. I'm so fucking furious. Regardless of me being a dick during the argument AIBU to think he needs to get up and help?? He says he won't cos I'm shouting - I'm shouting cos he's lying in bed trying to sleep. Aaaaggghh.

Congratulations OP! Flowers
Did the man-child manage to drag his arse out of bed to support you?

Laineymc7 · 02/10/2016 08:29

I can understand why you want the place clean. It's pretty shit that he won't help. My partner isn't a fan of cleaner either so I make him pay for a cleaner now. Make him pay for a one off clean for you if he's unwilling to help. Good luck with the birth.

Congratulations. Hope he is giving you the support you need.

Congratulations! And as a fellow homebirther who gave birth on her questionably clean bathroom floor and pooed on it as did baby- babies that are exposed to the germs of the house ASAP develop quicker immunity than those exposed to hospital germs first of all. So if you are or were worrying about that- don't.

Hope it all went well and you are having a well earned rest today!
