To be horrified by vaginal rejuvenation

Someone at work is having it done! With a laser! Which beats the rusty razor blade endured by terrified little girls in countries where women are second class citizens. However, it seems to me that hacking at your bits to make yourself tighter for a man is really a more sanitised version of female circumcision. There was some talk of labia reduction too. Can one have too much labia? Please tell me I am not being unreasonable to have been shocked.

There is a medical problem (peoronies disease? Something like that) which results in a squint penis and I think requires surgery - it's not for aesthetic reasons.

And again enlarging is surely about enhancing pleasure as well as appearance is it not?

RJnomore1 · 28/09/2016 21:35

Anyway can you imagine a man at work saying yeah I'm going to get my dick made bigger!!!

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 28/09/2016 21:35

Who the fuck needs to get their labia made prettier for themselves? Unless you really have nothing to do I can't imagine you're confronted with what they look like that often?
Let's be honest about what's going on here and not insult everyone's intelligence, shall we?

Houseofmirth66 · 28/09/2016 21:36

It was for aesthetic reasons rather than any medical problem. Overall I think it would be much healthier if we could learn to appreciate our vulvas - warts and all. So to speak!

Omg how is it possibly feninist to have surgery that will most likely reduce se sayin purely to improve appearance to a man!

I will wholeheartedly apologise if lesbians are booking in in numbers to have it done.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 28/09/2016 21:37

People who don't like it

Same as people who have nose jobs for themselves.

Just because people decide they want to change their vagina doesn't mean it's coz of men ffs

People have all kinds of work done for themselves

Speaking of that have you seen the man who spent loads trying to look like beckham?!

mycatstares · 28/09/2016 21:38

Beware her arriving one morning carrying a photo album!! GrinGrinGrin

Ginkypig · 28/09/2016 21:38

Just to add I agree that they are lovely things in all their forms! I wouldn't ever think if another woman wasn't happy with her body that she shouldn't have the help to change it for herself.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 28/09/2016 21:38

He looks more like Jake from The Tweenies.

YANBU

Lighthouseturquoise · 28/09/2016 21:39

Hmm, I was going to say yanbu but having thought about it, I think maybe yab a bit u.

In terms of being tighter, well that can improve sexual pleasure for the woman as well as the man.

I can't personally imagine caring too much what my vagina looks like, but in general, if you feel more attractive in yourself you're going to enjoy your sex life more.

I'm sort of against plastic surgery, for all kinds of reasons that I can't be bothered to go into, but this certainly seems no worse than any other type of surgery.

RJnomore1 · 28/09/2016 21:39

Yes I did Derek 😮
However a nose job isn't comparable as everyone sees a nose and it's often commented on at school

My fanny however - despite the rumours...

Butteredparsn1ps · 28/09/2016 21:41

Her Fanjo. Her choice.

It's not unusual for women to seek reconstruction after childbirth.

YouCanShoveYourOtherGranny · 28/09/2016 21:41

Derek - I'd vajazzle the shit out of it wins the day for me, thank you!

Have to say I was quite delighted with the bonus 'spring cleaning' I was given along with my hysterectomy Grin Grin

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 28/09/2016 21:43

Women have nose jobs "for themselves"
Women get their fanjos tightened "for themselves"
No doubt in the nineteenth century they were laced into corsets for themselves too
I see we are still firmly committed to the intelligence insulting business

DerekSprechenZeDick · 28/09/2016 21:44

If this child of mine ever leaves the womb and the resulting damage makes me self conscious then I would go for surgery

Same as if I walked into a post and my nose was bent.

Just like I'd have the scar removed off my leg.

All for me and nothing to do with men.

Mozfan1 · 28/09/2016 21:44

All Vulvas are beautiful 🌷

BUT! If you want surgery for cosmetic or health reasons, that is every woman's choice.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 28/09/2016 21:44

So when men get surgery is that for themselves for the men too??

RJnomore1 · 28/09/2016 21:46

Penis size is ALL about the other men surely?!

DerekSprechenZeDick · 28/09/2016 21:47

If they are into pork sword fighting then yeh I suppose

Fluffsnuts · 28/09/2016 21:47

I had labia reduction, on the NHS. It was definitely NOT FGM.

It now no longer gets in the way when wearing tight jeans, french knickers or during sex and I don't accidentally yank on it when sitting in certain positions. The fact my fanjo looked prettier was just an added bonus. Now I've had a baby and it looks like a car crash down there, I'd love VR.

HighwayDragon1 · 28/09/2016 21:47

I don't get vagina plasteys, possibly because no one ever sees mine 70s bush

MyWineTime · 28/09/2016 21:47

I'm not a fan of any plastic surgery, but I'm not sure there's much difference between this and a boob job.

Mozfan1 · 28/09/2016 21:49

Highway I'm rocking that too 🌳

dybil · 28/09/2016 21:49

Penis size is, presumably, for impressing/satisfying women. Cosmetic male circumcision is a thing too, and reduces sexual pleasure.
