Airline seats are the new eating grapes in a supermarket

When I first joined mumsnet and it were all fields etc. The great divide was between those who would eat grapes in a supermarket and those who would not. Now it appears to be those who fork out for seats on a plane and those who don't

At least we are over the hump of the 'shall we convert to Catholicism/shamanism/whateverittakes and move into the attic of our preferred school' catchment threads

I have said that I am going to get out of here before I become addicted.
BUT - I saw something about getting babies ears pierced.
My neighbour got her 2 month old baby's ears pierced, and they went a bit manky and infected, but she dared not go to the doctor in case she got told off about having the piercing done In the end she had to take her to a doctor. I am going to do a thread about it now. Just to raise awareness.

Haven't RTFT OP, I've just parked over a dropped kerb on my way to a wedding - it's childfree but I'm taking my little darlings, obviously the bride couldn't possibly have meant to exclude them - to flick my cat's shit into someone else's wheelie bin with this handy loo brush.

ghostyslovesheep · 27/09/2016 21:41

a ghost made you do it Page

MypocketsarelikeNarnia · 27/09/2016 21:45

Surely the great divide is between those who let their dcs scoot on the pavement and the those who have to pick up the old ladies from the kerb in their wake?

toomuchtooold · 27/09/2016 22:30

It's been a while since we've had a buggy vs wheelchair on the bus thread. About 20 minutes.

On a more serious note I might try and dig up the last Stately Homes thread and bump it, as it'll soon be time for batshit crazy abusive relatives everywhere to start doing everyone's head in about Christmas.

metaphoricus · 27/09/2016 23:06

I've JUST GOT IT AND I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Sorry. Didn't mean to shout.

Willow2016 · 28/09/2016 10:23

There are threads about stately homes???

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 28/09/2016 10:36

Jan is boring / Jan is remember when MN went offline.

Nah, Jan is When is Twelfth Night, and AIBU to take my Christmas decorations down early. With maybe a big of haggis around Burns Night.

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 28/09/2016 10:36

Bit of haggis, not big. Gah.

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 28/09/2016 10:37

His response to my complaints is that it never happens to him when he is in the shower, so I must be pressing a button, or something, that makes it go hot, or cold.
READERS: Can anybody take an educated guess about why it never happens to him?

metaphoricus, there's a way to remedy that, you know ...

SukeyTakeItOffAgain · 28/09/2016 10:42

Loving your work this morning, MN :o

SukeyTakeItOffAgain · 28/09/2016 10:44

PS yes there's a stately homes thread, but it's not about stately homes. It's sad :(

Willow2016 · 28/09/2016 11:19

Oh thanks thought there might be other ones. Love a stately home Smile

TheNaze73 · 28/09/2016 11:43

Such a funny thread Grin

Ginslinger · 28/09/2016 12:10

we have Valentines Day in February and how many millions of pounds will be spent or not spent on celebrating. Some will barely acknowledge their DH because WHO CARES about Valentines Day and others will have a yacht chartered and 7 diamond rings purchased. We have preparation for Valentines Day in January

MitzyLeFrouf · 28/09/2016 12:14

What about the divide between those who wear shoes indoor and those who don't because obviously their babies would die from the germs?

Butteredparsn1ps · 28/09/2016 12:55

What about neighbours threads? I normally love a crazy neighbour thread, but as I type this I am fumming mildly miffed with a newish neighbour. She took a parcel in for me on Saturday, and doesn't seem to have been home since. I would start a thread, but it's just not that interesting.

imnotreally · 28/09/2016 13:07

LadyConstance lol!!!!!!

What's a pbf? All I can think of is peanut butter.

imnotreally · 28/09/2016 13:15

Metaphoricus I just found your thread. GrinGrinGrin

I want a MN bingo card.

Also I don't have very strong opinions about anything and am open minded am I allowed to stay?

Ginslinger · 28/09/2016 13:19
