To be slightly worried about glucose in urine

I've been feeling off colour for a while and getting frequent bladder and kidney infections. GP found Glucose in my urine today and is referring me for a fasting blood test as both my parents have Diabetes.

I'm 31, slim and relatively fit and healthy in general.

WIBU to be a little worried or am I being a bit premature?

Do you have any other symptoms? I'm assuming your parents are Type 2? If so, I think type 2 is more genetic but usually kicks in when you're over 40 and overweight.

Try not to worry the most important thing is you feeling better. Are you parents type 1 or 2?

Have you had any other symptoms like thrush, excessive thirst and exhaustion?

Even if it is no need to panic you'll be referred to the diabetes team, I'm type 1 myself controlled with insulin it's a bit of an adjustment but not much has to change.

Hopefully your test results will come back positive, sorry if this isn't much help!
