To think that adverts on tv are getting more sleazy? The new Gucci advert!

Just before I turned over the tv I saw the new advert for Gucci Guilty ( I think it is called) two extremely thin young women sortoff dancing, then in the bath & what seemed to be both of them in bed with a guy!

Am I being an old fashioned fart or is that just tacky & almost pornographic?

'Extremely thin'.... er no. No. that's how the human body is supposed to look Hmm

Sameoldiggi · 25/09/2016 20:26

And that's the boy you focus on out of the whole OP? Hmm
Perhaps the ad is designed to appeal to men who then buy the shite stuff for their wives for Christmas

Sameoldiggi · 25/09/2016 20:30

Pretty atypical imp

splendide · 25/09/2016 20:34

I'm not sure there's one way the human body is "supposed" to look, what a weird comment.

alltoomuchrightnow · 25/09/2016 20:36

Jared Leto. I know most people do but I just don't find him attractive.

CoolCarrie · 25/09/2016 21:28

Very sleazy, D& G being the worst imho. I honestly think that so many ads are just tacky. I had a very interesting email conversation with the editor of a women's magazine about a particular advert, pointing out the obvious reasons why it was so creepy and nasty, the conversation was certainly was enlightening, in more ways than one.

I hate those ones with the twerking blokes. Just urgh.

Mari50 · 25/09/2016 21:37

Gucci bamboo advert was just as ridiculous with the naked piano playing.

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 25/09/2016 22:38

splendide it's a normal body.... what's 'weird' about commenting on that eh? Normal compared to the obesity you see on the high st, which is not

It's just another advert.... perfume..... vying for the prime 'top of the xmas list' position I guess

TathitiPete · 25/09/2016 22:48

I noticed that ad too and thought it a bit weird. Gucci Guilty. Guilty of what? Who is the guilty party and what are they guilty of?

Also, do people really buy perfume for loved ones based on the ad? I've bought perfume, and aftershave, and I either buy someone the scent they already wear or I maybe buy them something I've come across that I think smells really nice or I think they'll think smells really nice.

ToastDemon · 25/09/2016 22:51

I don't think many people would describe fashion models as having "normal" bodies, what an odd thing to say.
They make a living precisely because they don't have a common body type.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 25/09/2016 22:55

Agree with toast

Weights of 7and 8 stone at 5.10 plus is not "normal'

Nothing wrong with it at all obviously but it is very low on the bmi scale

LesisMiserable · 25/09/2016 22:59

The tweaking guys in the hot pants having a dance off with the builders is just plain gross. In one part, the guy has his arse slapped by two other guys - I'm sorry but if that was three women in cut off hot pants slapping arses it would just be blatant sexual content - our standards of what our kids are exposed to - sexual touching etc is shocking. We tell them their bodies are 'sacred' etc and not to allow themselves to be touched or exploited then they are drip fed sexualised advertising all day long now - no watershed - it doesn't exist really anymore does it. Horrible.

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 25/09/2016 23:06

Oh right. Where is the height and weight mentioned then?
