Barclays student over draft

So today is student loan day whooopi
I have paid off the nearly £2,000 18% overdraft that has been keeping me awake at night.

Am desperate to stay out of debt but appreciate equally I do need a safety net.
Barclays gave me a student account last year with no overdraft, am I right in thinking having paid £600 a year in charges for the past 5 years they should just give me the £2000 interest free which is then move into a savings account for a bit and try and save a little bit.

So how are you are Barclays being unreasonable? Confused

tofutti · 24/09/2016 12:57

Why don't you just apply for an interest free overdraft?

I've still got my Natwest student account and overdraft, 12 years after finishing uni.

Nat west do a good student account with £1500 interest free over draft.

I'm wondering if the will transfer it over I guess having made a fair chunk of money out of me previously. I'll report back to whether they've been unreasonable or not

Erm, no. you mean OD fees I take it? YABU I'm afraid but no harm in asking for an interest free OD now.
