Someone has left their pants on my driveway (with diagram)

I got back from the school run this morning to find a pair of boxer shorts at the top of my drive.

We live in a private row of houses so no one really comes in apart from the residents.

They don't belong to my ndn and the other two neighbours have been in and out and ignored them drove over them

They are bright red character ones and are hard to miss.

Wwyd? I don't really want to go and pick them up. Can't really known on doors to see if anyone's lost their pants.

Alarms! - DP says burglars use clean washing instead of gloves...

WhatWouldCoachBombayDo · 23/09/2016 15:39

Post flyers through neighbours door, have you lost your pants? With picture.

If nobody claims them, they obviously belong to the messiah and a shrine should be erected with weekly pants offering, preferably lace to appease the gods.

Strangeday · 23/09/2016 15:47

Well I just saw my ndn, she said they must belong to our other neighbour (we only have two other neighbours and only one has men living there).

She got her mop fished them up and has now put them on other neighbours doorstep.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 23/09/2016 15:55

I reckon it was a cat...

Oh I needed this thread in my life. Thank you OP

we only have two other neighbours and only one has men living there).

Ah, but the men don't have to be living there . They could be gentlemen callers.

Times must be hard for Superman if he's taken a second job as a Stripper-gram

GeorgiePeachie · 23/09/2016 16:05

OP DELIVERS! They really are quite bright arn't they!

Strangeday · 23/09/2016 16:15

Oh I know, tone honest ndn didn't really like the other neighbour, so I think she quite enjoyed chucking the pants on their doorstep.

I need to be around when they get back from work.

Omg I read that as "left pants on the driveway (with diaphragm)"...

2kids2dogsnosense · 23/09/2016 16:23

A driveway, pants, a diagram . . . . (sigh )- it doesn't get much better than this . . .

. . . unless . . . You couldn't orchestrate a wheelie bin standoff and a parking dispute as well, could you?

No pressure. Grin

sodabreadjam · 23/09/2016 16:25

I went to work one day (small college annexe) and found a pair of grannie pants frozen to the pavement just outside the front door - completely covered in frost. They hadn't been there the day before.

Strange.

Strangeday · 23/09/2016 16:32

One of the boyfriends is back now but as he hasn't been there all week we don't think they're his pants.

I don't know if he's picked them up.

There are lots of parking dramas here and strange wheelie bin activity but I'd better not go there.

They could have been dropped by a kleptomaniac cat 🐱

I once lived with a kleptomaniac cat - it's surprising what inanimate things they think are interesting Hmm Grin

Flingmoo · 23/09/2016 22:16

Maybe it's conceptual art...

Buzzardbird · 23/09/2016 23:40

The bellis are confusing me!

couldntlovethebearmore · 24/09/2016 00:03

I also thought someone had left pants AND a diagram of where the pants were placed. This thread is far less exciting now

couldntlovethebearmore · 24/09/2016 00:06

I once found a rucksack outside my old house containing only coconut macaroons. Now that was odd

Namechangingbastard · 24/09/2016 00:13

Oh hell my dh would have a hissy fit if he found strange superman pants just outside the back door! Your poor neighbour will have some explaining to do if they are not hers!

easterholidays · 24/09/2016 00:26

Wrap them up and give them as your Secret Santa gift at work.

I love this thread. MN at its finest Grin
