Someone has left their pants on my driveway (with diagram)

I got back from the school run this morning to find a pair of boxer shorts at the top of my drive.

We live in a private row of houses so no one really comes in apart from the residents.

They don't belong to my ndn and the other two neighbours have been in and out and ignored them drove over them

They are bright red character ones and are hard to miss.

Wwyd? I don't really want to go and pick them up. Can't really known on doors to see if anyone's lost their pants.

You clearly have to LTB, OP.

Ot at least hire a PI to follow your H, if he's been nice to you lately.

Floggingmolly · 23/09/2016 12:26

Bin them, they won't want them back. When we lived abroad, DH and I were strolling back from the pub one evening (after a day of quite gusty winds) and sniggered at the array of pants littering the street below our balcony.
Until I recognised some of mine Blush. I actually replaced more or less the entire contents of my knicker drawer rather than be seen walking the length of the street picking them up.

squoosh · 23/09/2016 12:28

I thought 'someone left their pants on my driveway' was going to be a follow up to that disco classic Macarthur Park (someone left their cake out in the rain).

BeMorePanda · 23/09/2016 12:29

"oh yes they are mine/my boyfriends"
said no one, ever, re the lost undies on the street.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/09/2016 12:31

Never mind the pants Strage why have you drawn (albeit crudely) a knob'n'ballsack in the bottom left hand corner?

That's where you should return the pants to.

I once left washing out overnight & the next morning one of my bras was gone!

When I was still living with parents we actually saw the family dog pull one of Mum's bra's off the line, run down the garden with it & bury it!

Huppopapa · 23/09/2016 12:35

Set up a pantscam!

FeelingSmurfy · 23/09/2016 12:36

I would suspect an animal has taken them and got bored with them and left them

Do you not like your neighbours, or do they have...interestingly shaped trees

Mummyme1987 · 23/09/2016 12:39

Worse than finding your pants on the street. My dd mistook my dh's black boxer shorts for her pe shorts and took them to school for pe! Blush

Strangeday · 23/09/2016 12:40

No that's a tree.

(Please don't let my neighbours be mumsnetters)

At least they were clean out of the washing basket just off the line.

Hysterectical · 23/09/2016 12:45

The first tree looks.like a willy and balls picture Grin

ParadiseCity · 23/09/2016 12:47

I read the thread title and thought someone had left 'pants and a diagram' on your drive. I'm disappointed now as I wanted to know what the diagram said. How to put them on? How to take them off? WHAT?

HateSummer · 23/09/2016 12:47

Is this a stealth boast about private driveways and trees surrounding houses? 🤔

ManonLescaut · 23/09/2016 12:49

It's probably a fox. Are there any dustbins around?

DiscoMike · 23/09/2016 12:49

Someone once left a pair of pants by my desk at work Confused

Just lying on the floor.

It was an open plan office. So when more people got in, I waved them around on the end of a ruler and asked someone to claim them.

No one did. But one person was working from home that day. So we did a group message thing asking him if he'd left anything at work. Anything "personal" Grin There was a panicked silence as he checked - no idea what for especially - but eventually he asked if it was his pants. They had fallen out of his sports bag on the way past. So we made a flag of them using the ruler as a pole and stick it on the top of his partition until he came in.

I love you, OP.

I am having a horrible morning and the updated pants pic gave me a laugh I desperately needed.

Thanks Grin

This is my house.

I was really confused when I first read the title and beginning of the post... I couldn't work out why someone would leave pants AND a diagram on your driveway. As if the diagram is some kind of treasure map and the pants are the first clue...

Floggingmolly · 23/09/2016 13:08

Well yeah, HateSummer, but it hasn't got pants... Pants are where it's at these days Wink

squoosh · 23/09/2016 13:11

My house.

I'm forever picking up the footman's pants in the Italian garden.

I remember my mum finding a pair of my DB's pants outside the local shop when we were kids, he did indeed have swimming that day so that theory holds up.

HoneyDragon · 23/09/2016 13:13

That's not your house.
Your house has pants in the driveway.

Gazelda · 23/09/2016 13:14

Have you checked to see if there's a name tag inside? Or a message?

I bet it's a local radio station running a 'win a meal for 2 for Nandos if you find the lucky pants' competition.
Phone your local BBC station and tell them you've got the undies and you need to speak on air immediately.

It's the only possible explanation.
