I use neutral as my car is stop start but I keep my foot on the brake pedal rather than the handbrake to make sure the hill assist works lazy driver who hasn't done a real hill start in years Blush

I am with you kanga59 Really really annoying but I learnt to drive in London and if you do the hand brake thingy there at traffic lights people beep their flaming horns at you

Purplebunny I do have a UK license but it was a hand-over-the-counter exchange for my Australian one. I didn't have to do a test in the UK of any kind.

Some people need to get their blood pressure tested then.

YABU

It's how you're meant to do it - it's safer.

mummyoutoflondon04 If your doing as you should do then no one else should even notice. You have time to see that the lights are changing red to red amber, green won't be long by that time in gear handbrake ready for the off.

Why's that a problem?.
