Can anyone tell me the best rides at Ll, I have 3 & 6 yr old and can't figure which are the best/popular rides. Haven't had chance to look at this sooner! My 3yr old is 96cm.

Appreciate some help on this as I'm going crazy looking at the map and trying to make a list....especially with a 3yr not wanting to sleep!

My daughter was 2.5 when we took her and she loved: scarab bouncers, fairytale brook, duplo train and the other train type rides. She also loved the duplo water fun. Definitely take spare clothes!

Get the free app! You can view the map of the park, get directions and narrow down rides based on height restrictions. Easy.

Are you going on your own, if not and someone is able to watch the 3 year old take the older one on the big rides to the right of the park, Viking river ride, the big dragon in the castle, the log flume. swinging boat then go on the smaller dragon and the Knights quest. Those are the ones that get the biggest queue.

Do the Learner drivers and boat driving ride first, the queues get super long later in the day. Fairytale Brook is amazing, my two (6 and 4 last trip) also really love the fire engine one.

It if they are desperate to go on laser riders go on that first,
45 mins queue the other day. Really not work the wait but Dc's love it

We are going for our first visit tomorrow too! It's DD2's birthday next week and she will be 11. My friend goes a lot as she lives local, her DS adores the pirate show they put on if that's any help.

I'm going to look at downloading the app now too.

And of course Atlantis, the submarine.

The submarine & sharks were cool & the jetboats. Both at the back of the park so empty if you arrive there as it opens & head straight there. Viking splash good for all ages. Haven't done the dragon yet so can't compare.
Mia's pony is over 120cm but my giant 5 yo loved it - if you have 2 adults & 1 can watch the 3yo.
Duploworld v tame but still lovely esp fairytale boat. I wouldn't do splashpark with the weather tomorrow - water was freezing on a boiling hot day in July. It is great though.
Finally not a ride but pirate show is fantastic - arrive early I.e half an hour + if park is busy or go to the 2pm because they run them back to back at 1pm & 2pm so 2nd show is less busy
I thought lego friends show was awful but dd thought it was the best thing ever....and was singing and dancing all the way through.
Enjoy it - it's expensive, it can be way too busy but it's a lot of fun

if you are going to go on the big rides walk down past the stars wars building, you can take the hill train but I find it quite slow getting people on and off.

Depends what is running, some rides may not be (so never promise children they will definitely do a particular ride).

I agree with polarpercy, fairy tale brook is a ride to do. Duplo Train is great as they can go on their own, or you could sit with 3yr old and 6yr old may get to go in the front and pretend to drive!

Are you going alone with them? If so then the biggest issue is that some rides won't let you take two children at the same time - think things like rollercoasters where an adult needs to sit next to a child.

Boating School (Coastguard HQ I think they have called it this year) will sit 3 in a boat. Go to that quickly, as it tends to get long queues if park is busy.

Atlantis - watch fish from inside a submarine ! Ride does not stop, so prepare you children for boarding it whilst it is slowly moving.

Puppet Theatre (by Fairy Tale Brook) is good - opportunity for a sit down with a whilst the children watch the show. 11.30am, 12.30pm Three Little Pigs - 2.30pm, 4.30pm Litle Red Riding Hood.

The stunt show is in the Harbour... 12pm, 2pm, 4pm. Good place for a picnic lunch and another cup of plus there are toilets nearby.

Damp weather - head to Atlantis, 4D Movie theatre, Imagination Factory, Starwars Mini Land, Olivia's house.. as those are indoors! Also Heartlake City Express (big train) is ok in the rain, you get a bit squirted anyway.

On arrival I find it best to head towards Starwars Miniland and go past it, down the hill, past Viking ride, down to Spinning Spider. Then can go for a play at Castaway Camp.

For some things you may want to split up, so one of you goes with your eldest on rides that your youngest can't do.

Dragon's Apprentice you could all do together (1 adult with 1 child). It is quite a tame rollercoaster, good as introduction to rollercoasters. If eldest likes that, one of you could then take them on the big Dragon rollercoaster (if the queue is not too bad!).

We took our 3 year old last week and went on all the rides he could do. He liked the dragon's apprentice, spinning spider, knight's quest and L-Drivers. He didn't really like the slower rides but he is a thrill seeker and not afraid of anything! The duplo train, fairytale brook he found boring so depends on your children on what sort of ride they like.

Down load the app - They have offers for refillable bottles ect.

Take buggy. Our 3 year old seriously flagged and loads places to park them at each ride. Plus good for loading stuff onto

Start at back and work forward

Pay for priority parking, it's worth it because of the queues to exit the park.

Arrive & park early, enter the park as soon as it opens, the first hour is the busiest so maximise your time.

Take food & drink, the restaurants on site are expensive & the food not that great.

If rides in Duplo park are your first choice then don't take the hill train, instead walk down following the path at the left of the park, it will drop you straight into that area.

Atlantis is a favourite, followed by the self drive boats (gets really busy, head their first), the self drive cars, Storybrook and the helicopter ride in Duplo.

The pirate show is great fun & a good time to stop and rest/eat a picnic but you need to get there early. The puppet shows at the Duplo theatre are also good and leave time at the end of the day for a visit to the 3D cinema and to Star Wars miniland.

It's brilliant. We took DD 2 weeks ago and had an amazing time. Can't wait to go back :)

Arrive early, the parking is good and not to long a walk to the park.

Go to the back of the park first, go to the left instead of right, past miniland.definitely get the app and I'd consider the qbot too. We did the mobile one and it was really good.

Atlantis was good, driving school was great. We loved the log flume and the Vikings water ride. DDs favourite was spinning spider.

Take lots of cash, it is expensive, but worth every penny. We can't wait to go back :)

So we went today.

Got there at 9.40am and it was heaving already. Coach loads arriving and it was already open and people streaming in from the carparks.

We managed to get on the following rides today:

Vikings water one (the round boat things)
Laser Raider (or whatever it's called) - said 30 mins waiting but in reality was nearly two bloody hours.
The two youngest dc went on the spider thing
They two youngest dc did the driving school
Dp, teen and one dc went on the Dragon.

That was it. The queues were unbelievably long. The best thing we did was go to the shop as soon as we got there, buy what they wanted and then collected it at 6pm. By that time you could barely get into the shop.

I am pretty disappointed at the queues. I have done a load of theme parks over the years and have to say I've always managed to get round more than five rides in the day.

I think if we go again (and I would like to) then we would look at booking into the hotel and staying over to do the two days plus using the Qbot. More expensive but we drove two hours each way today to spend 8 hours essentially in a queue.

Saw half of Miniland and it was amazing! Would love to see the rest of it.

It was crazy busy there today. We have annual passes and I've never seen it so busy. No idea why. It's not normally that bad.

I must admit, we always buy the Q-bots. I've bought all 3 over the years including the 're-mortgage your house', £75 pp one. I think the £30pp one is the best one. We went in May with that one and managed to get on around 15 rides. It's a bit elitist but does make for a much better day.

We had a great day. Git there for 930 which I'm so glad we did, we managed to do self drive boat, l driver school, fire engine, atlantis with minimal queues. However after this point the queue seem to be around 1hr! Missed laser raiders as queue too long. Watched 2pm pirate show which was great. Then dragons apprentuce & sky ride thing which overlooks miniland. Mini land and star wars section. I thought it was a good day however don't think I would return....prefer alton towers tbh. Thought they could do with more toilets as queues were long for these too! Tricky with little ones! All in all good day however queues put me off going again. Glad we have ticked it off the list though!
