My work believe it's perfectly reasonable to say that I cannot be allowed in the office, as I use a scooter not a wheelchair therefore the disabled access toilets are not in fact accessible for me. I haven't even been allowed to SEE this inaccessible disabled toilet that somehow, is different than every other disabled toilet I have ever used. Other people have decided they can judge whether and where I can piss, with no input from me at all.
Can you imagine a manager ever telling their non disabled team members that contrary to their own beliefs and abilities in their capability to pass water, they are not allowed to wee into that toilet, or that cubicle... Maybe that because of someone's height or skin colour, they cannot put their bare bottom on that piece of porcelain.
That's what life is like having become disabled.
