Are they too far gone for pancakes? I never normally use them overripe so I'm not sure! They feel pretty mushy!

They look perfect for use in baking to me. Open one up and find out what it's like inside.

They're fine. They're not inedible till they're actually mouldy.

FunkinEll · 16/09/2016 16:32

Totally ok. I've used much browner ones Blush

IDismyname · 16/09/2016 16:36

The pancakes should taste better if you use the riper ones!

MitzyLeFrouf · 16/09/2016 16:38

They'll make the pancakes lovely and sweet.

Those look perfect and I'm happily use older ones. I think you'll find they'll be no we than with yellow/ less-ripe bananas

PurpleDaisies · 16/09/2016 16:52

I have to hide my black bananas so my cleaner doesn't bin them. I've used them much darker than that.

humblesims · 16/09/2016 16:53

yes they are at their best.

I freeze bananas when they start to go, in the freezer they turn black and are perfect for cooking with

Black bananas are much much better for baking with than yellow ones. Your finished product will be much sweeter and moister and yummier!!

MiddleClassProblem · 16/09/2016 16:54

It'll be sweeter and tastier the blacker it is for baking/cooking with x

They are fine. Much sweeter and softer, so ideal for cooking.
