To be disappointed with Subway?

OK so today I had my favourite Subway - steak and cheese - they heated it up for me in their oven thing. Anyway, when I took it home - the main thing I could taste by far was the bread and tomato /lettuce. The meat part seemed to have been reduced to nothing - piss poor!! - I was looking forward to the steak part more than anything else.
I like Subway and the variety of salad stuffs they offer - but ..idk ..how disappointing!!

That's a crap Subway (no disrespect intended). Try a BMT on herb and cheese bread, pepper cheese, lettuce, red onion, tomato, olives, jalapeños, pickle, and a good dollop of south west sauce .... That's a subway

They stink too, splooting their cheap frozen pizza smell out to a half mile radius.

Obviouspretzel /ThereIsIron - coincidentally a Subway flyer came with the post today - so I see the BMT and I agree it looks delicious. The reason I tend to always go for the steak and cheese is that it seems to be the only Subway that's beef based and I love beef.

ThereIsIron - that's the thing though - I've NEVER had any sauce in a Subway - I just tend to stick to the 'natural' ingredients - the sauces seem a bit synthetic to me!

I fantasise how subways will be. It's never right. YABU to think your sandwich would be better than mine

I was embarrassed when two subway workers were very obviously sniggering at my sandwich

Cheese and herb bread, toasted with cheese
Lettuce (extra lettuce)
Tomato
Cucumber
Chillies
Extra cheese (grated)
Gherkins
Mayo and sweet chilli sauce.

I don't know either. They crammed loads of lettuce in, too much, maybe they were laughing at going OTT on my request for extra lettuce.

I always have this subway and it is always lovely, apart from that one time where it was filled up too much.

Local subway has stopped serving pork for breakfast.....to not cause offence to those who don't eat it....they use turkey sausage/rashers instead.....

Personally think EVERY subway should offer the same menu...

I would think that the real reason is that the subway is in a location where they are likely to lose business because of the amount of people in that area who don't eat pork. So a financial and business reason. There's nothing to stop pork eaters eating turkey, but not the other way round.

They can't all be run the same way as they are all franchised.

Maybe the person who has the franchise is Jewish or Muslim and quite devote? Actually probably not Jewish because then meat and cheese would be out too. It's possibly that, I recall speaking to someone about food and to them pork was quite repulsive in thier mind - like the thought of eating cat or insects might feel to me

I fail to understand the popularity of subway. It seems to exist only to make McDonalds look half decent.

I've been twice in my life, once to try it and the second time a few years later to find out if it really was as shit as I remember, which it was. Truly disgusting 'food'.

Apple they would have loved my boy then when he was 4 - in a local sandwich shop he used to order 'a ham sandwich with cucumber and lettuce, no ham but extra lettuce ' So not a ham sandwich then I think he might have thought all sandwiches had ham by default as that is all dd will ever eat!

Your mistake was going to subway in the first place. Ugh, the grimness of the meat.

The only decent thing in subway is the nachos! Have it with the marinara sauce instead of salsa and extra cheese, yum yum.

Yabu - subway stinks. Bread baking and meat and cheese shouldn't smell like vomit and sugar being boiled as you walk past.

Subway amazes me; all those ingredients, additives, salt and sugar.... and yet no matter what you gt, it tastes exactly the same (that is, of not very much at all). How do they do it?

Also, where do thy find all these square pigs for their 'ham'?
