NRTFT - too long!
How rude! To me that means: All your opinions are irrelevant read mine mine I tell you mine it's the only one that counts.

OP posts:

I have set mn to show me 500 posts a page so scrolling thru to read the OP's posts highlighted in Elephants breath is easy. If I'm posting on a thread my posts are a fetching shade of lilac but if a thread is too long for me to be arsed to read I won't comment on it on the assumption someone has said what I was going to say already. Some threads just require personal anecdote but I am wary of them since a. Jeffrey and b. seeing a comment with my username printed in a daily newspaper requiring yet another name change which I keep changing as I miss my old name

If it's too long for you to read, then pick a thread that isn't so long instead.

Not that difficult, if discovering how the thread has moved on us too much.

After all, there isn't exactly a shortage of threads.

MyVaginaIsSparticus · 11/09/2016 16:17

Well if you had rtft op, you'd see that those of us who have registered recently can't see 500 at a time. 100 max.

MyVaginaIsSparticus · 11/09/2016 16:20

Yeah but I don't want to read a different thread. I want to read the thread I've posted on. There are no rules in what you can post I and its a bit Hmmthat some people get annoyed that their 'words of wisdom' have been missed by someone who isn't that interested in their contribution.

And as an op I prefer to get as many useful responses as possible not just the 12 fuckers who got in a Bun fight for 10 pages

Sparklingbrook · 11/09/2016 16:26

If you start a thread then its manners to read all the replies really.

There are no rules on MN though so everyone can post how they like. Plus 'Hide thread' is v useful. Wink

mycatwantstokillme1 Have you found out how to highlight the OP's posts and your own posts yet? At least that makes them easy to spot as you scroll down. There isn't a way of only seeing OP update posts though, if that was what you meant.

YourNewspaperIsShit · 11/09/2016 18:09

YANBU I get quite upset when people start ignoring my updates on threads and telling me stuff I've already replied to. What's the point? Very much "only my opinion matters"
