Being ignored

I have for the first time ever just got full frame specs; apart from when wearing child's NHS plastic glasses in the 80s; purchased specsavers 2 for 1glasses. One Karen Millen brown plastic pair and one Redd or Dead teal metal with funky arms. Both full frame . I have received loads of compliments and a Wolf whistle so now they look OK. When partner came home he looked at me once and said surprised you can see in those bleeps glasses. Then ignored me all night. This morning put on other pair. Came into lounge to watch breakfast where I was and walked out to eat it on garden. No words exchanged. Would talk if directly talked to but not look up. Made me cup of tea and didn't tell me get had so not completely awkward. But it's not fair and children pre teen and teen are fully aware

OP posts:

I don't understand any of this OP. Can you explain?

MakeMyWineADouble · 09/09/2016 17:32

You think your partner is ignoring you because you have glasses? Did I read that right? The post is a little confusing.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 09/09/2016 17:33

Being ignored
IfartInYourGeneralDirection · 09/09/2016 17:33

I feel like I've missed something

SoozeyHoozey · 09/09/2016 17:34

This is very odd.

ghostyslovesheep · 09/09/2016 17:34

seriously?

RedSauceAndJellyJuice · 09/09/2016 17:35
Hmm
liz70 · 09/09/2016 17:37

Did you have contacts from when you met him, until now? Confused Sounds like you need to ditch the shallow twat if so.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 09/09/2016 17:37

Sharon??

SquidgyRedBall · 09/09/2016 17:39

OP got new glasses (full frames instead of contacts perhaps?) and her partner didn't notice. She knows they looked good as she has been wolf whistled at.

I think.

SquidgyRedBall · 09/09/2016 17:39

Derek Grin

GeneralBobbit · 09/09/2016 17:40

You can swear here.

You mean the twat said "surprised you can see in those fucking glasses" ?

And then ignored you once you'd put the second pair on.

You know they're fine, he's jealous because you look good Flowers

You're married to an arsehole

TheEmmaDilemma · 09/09/2016 17:43

What Bobbit said.

pussinasda · 09/09/2016 17:44

did you forget to put your glasses on before you posted
sorry im finding it very confusing

GeekyWombat · 09/09/2016 17:45

Is this one of those weird 'this is actually a post written from the viewpoint of a TV or film character' type threads where people are meant to catch on?

Cause I've got nothing...

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 09/09/2016 17:46

What are 'full frame' glasses? As opposed to what - half-moons?

pussinasda · 09/09/2016 17:46

hes ignoring you because your wearing glasses.
what a knob

Drowzeee · 09/09/2016 17:47

What are full frame specs? What's the deal with the cup of tea?

Was it that he didn't tell you how had made you one and if so why would that be completely awkward?

What's not fair and what are the children fully aware of, the fact that you are now wearing glasses?

IfartInYourGeneralDirection · 09/09/2016 17:47

I went and put on my own milk bottle lenses even when thinned down glasses to reread, still nowt

Twunk · 09/09/2016 17:50

Well if you were wolf-whistled then they must be ok. Hmm

I look bloody awful in glasses.

wombattoo · 09/09/2016 17:52

Thank you Bobbit for making slightly more sense than the OP. Can you tell me how the DC fit in?
don't know why I'm so invested really

liz70 · 09/09/2016 17:53

It's one of those posts that, the more times you read it, the more confused you get. Confused

queenMab99 · 09/09/2016 17:56

Why would you watch breakfast? I just eat mine.

MarcelineTheVampire · 09/09/2016 17:57

Yeah, I don't understand either.

ijustwannadance · 09/09/2016 17:57

Do you mean you used to wear smaller frameless glasses or tiny metal frame ones but now have big trendy nerd glasses and he thinks you look daft?
