To ask for help identifying these children's books?

A few months ago I was put out of my misery with help identifying a TV show so am hoping for the same.

  1. Was a small book. A6 landscape. I can't remember anything about the story except it had a group of children in it painting a shed, they didn't have enough paint so each painted a different side/the roof of the shed a different colour. When it rained the paint ran and the shed became brown.
  1. A series of books with characters that were personified weather. I thought they were called The Weather People but googling that brings up different things. One of the characters was called Baby Dewdrop!

The books were around in the mid-80s.

Can anyone help me?!

Cuddlepot and Snugglepie slept in seed pods. You're not thinking of them are you?

I remember the ones written and illustrated by the teen - the onion made everyone cry. And the solution was deodorant. Even as a kid I was a bit Hmm

Ok my one ... Very few clues but it was a soft cover book, portrait, not sure of size as I was so small. But it was a book of nursery rhymes. On the first page was the full Twinky Twinke Little Star - 3 verses I think. And it was printed on a backdrop of a painterly night scene, in the country I think, with the star high in the sky lighting up the path for the traveler in the dark.

Too obscure?
