AIBU to ask your ideas on brilliant birthday gifts for a 2 year old girl

The title says it all really. Toying with the idea of a balance bike for DD's 2nd birthday, but is she too small? I think you can get ones suitable from 2yrs but not sure if it would be a waste.....What have you got for 2 year olds that they LOVE, please?

Ds is 2 next week. Got him a tablet with a Groupon voucher for £40. 3 siblings have got one and he is already playing games and doing puzzles. Also recycling a quad that his dB had and went on twice!! (didn't like it as it wobbled!)

I'd go for a scuttlebug myself- plus they fold up making them easier to tidy away or sling in the car.

My two year old loves happyland and tolo first friends stuff which should last him for a few years. We'll be getting him a balance bike for his 2nd birthday next month. My friends also rave about the aquadoodle

We got a balance bike for DD's 2nd birthday: has been a huge hit and is used virtually every day. Quickly replaced the pushchair as easiest mode of transport. Second-best present: small flashing light for the balance bike, which gets turned on and off every time she walks past it in the hall.

We got the DTs balance bikes for their 2nd birthday but they didn't really use them until the summer before their 3rd birthday.

They loved happyland, lego duplo, colouring/painting stuff, play doh at that age.

My dd is 2 in November and we have got her a toy kitchen which she will adore!

Has she got a scooter? Depends on the child, but my DCs have loved their micro scooters so much (and been less bothered with a balance bike)
You can also accessorise with bell and scooter bag (useful fo collecting stuff when on walks). Would very much recommend!

She does already have a micro scooter (with seat but has never really got on with the seat) so think we should convert it with the normal handle and stick with that for now. Would be ideal for the short walk to school to get her brother.... Maybe we could get her some accessories for her birthday to reignite her interest in the scooter, and think about balance bike or bike with stabilisers next year....? Scuttle bugs look great, thanks for that tip. Also the little one who turns the bike light on and off made me smile

Some great food for thought. Perhaps we don't need to get one big thing this birthday. We have a toy kitchen already (older brothers...) and aqua doodle too, but would be nice for her to have her own play doh sets and I've always wanted to get her that lovely Beatrix potter set from the book people.
