Mechanical fault? I thought they advertised their products as being handmade'?

Mynestisfullofempty · 08/09/2016 13:20

Maybe a whole batch will have to be recalled.

cdtaylornats · 08/09/2016 13:23

Hunt sabs regularly hurt horses and hounds, usually I hope by accident

Barksdale · 08/09/2016 13:24

They still use mixers etc.

frumpet · 08/09/2016 13:39

Being a bit dim and possibly down to my eyesight , but it looks like a embedded bit of a screwhead iyswim , did you discover the soap like that when you unwrapped it ?

frumpet · 08/09/2016 13:41

If you haven't used it , I would wonder why it has fingernail marks in it ?

Fooshufflewickbannanapants · 08/09/2016 13:51

I bought it 3 months ago I have been using it

Well done for going back to the company and giving them a chance to resolve the issue rather than starting a sad face post on social media. Let us know what they say.

Where are you getting this from? Are you a hunter?

(Sorry for the derail, OP.)

LunaLoveg00d · 08/09/2016 13:57

(that sounded really patronising and it wasn't meant to)

Buggeritimgettingup · 08/09/2016 14:16

Wow hope you get to the bottom of it. Lush have a great customer care reputation so they should be helpful

LRDtheFeministDragon · 08/09/2016 14:21

barks - YY, as cd says, hunt sabs do, unfortunately, hurt horses and hounds. Their intentions are good, but what they do is dangerous.

Honestly, I think Lush is an absurd company. Completely hypocritical over that issue, and their products stink to high heaven, too. I'm not that surprised they're also substandard.

WalrusGumboot · 08/09/2016 14:29

Horses and hounds really shouldn't be put in a position where they can be in harm's way. I.e. Out on hunts. No one to blame but the bloodthirsty humans putting them there. I support the sabs.

nellieellie · 08/09/2016 14:38

Used to go hunt sabbing many years ago and before the ban. Never, ever saw an animal hurt by sabs. However, saw many a fox ripped apart, not to mention, sabs attacked, kicked and punched. I had horses ridden at me that were desperately trying to run around me or rear away as their rider, a redcoat, kicked them in an attempt to get them to knock me over. Oh, and sab car tyres slashed, and paintwork scratched by hunt followers.
Sorry op, hope you get loads of Lush freebies!

WellTidy · 08/09/2016 14:57

Am I the only one who can't see the metal? I can see the photo of the lack soap but can't see anything sticking out of it. Must get myself to spec savers.

Meadows76 · 08/09/2016 15:07

Lush are the people who support hunt sabs, aren't they? Maybe they got confused about which animals they were planning to hurt that day. what on earth???? OP I would contact their hear office.

Barksdale · 08/09/2016 15:10

Show me some evidence on a website that isn't "horse and hound", then. Hunters are illegally ripping apart foxes with dogs and horses, sabs use non-violent direct means to disrupt hunting.

iloveeverykindofcat · 08/09/2016 15:37

Wow, you should definitely get some vouchers or something free for that.

The thread title pulled me in...

Lweji · 08/09/2016 15:40

From the title I was expecting rather a different thread subject

Yeah, not sure you attracted the right people to the thread with that title. Wink

Wolfiefan · 08/09/2016 15:42

Coal face? So you are supposed to scrub your face with this? Good job I didn't bloody buy it. I'm stupidly short sighted and (if I hadn't felt the metal there) could easily have ripped my face open.
Shock
Kind of puts me off Lush TBH.

gillybeanz · 08/09/2016 16:01

I love lush, my dd and friends go in at the weekend and the staff regularly give them freebies, their dorm is full of lovely bath bombs and soaps of all kinds.

weeblueberry · 08/09/2016 16:13

If it's coalface are you sure it's not a shard of sharp charcoal? Not at all saying this is any better but it's more that it's just not been ground up properly.

Lush's quality control is pretty shit hot so I'd be surprised if metal got in. Even though they use mechanical equipment to mix etc most of it is cut and shaped by hand.

weeblueberry · 08/09/2016 16:15

Sorry just to clarify I can't see the metal inside so apologies if it's blatantly not charcoal lol.

Lweji · 08/09/2016 16:27

Are you sure it wasn't an accidental diamond?
