Thread about a thread but I don't care as that thread has been zapped. Forget the gender reveal cake insanity, what I want to know is what the poster who had a wedding cake reveal cake was revealing?

I only got to page 3 before the thread went poof and I never got to find out the answer. What was this mysterious cake telling the guests. Someone enlighten me!

It was zapped at the posters request which Mumsnet did on grounds of protecting the poster's privacy. Or the embarrassment of having any member of Mumsnet using kissing smileys on their post announcing they were having it deleted.

What utter self obsessed insanity - the gender reveal I mean! Have no idea WTAF a wedding reveal cake is but sounds like yet another way to part a fool and their money.

A couple of suggestions..

A large cake is wheeled into a party and the newly engaged couple burst out of the top to announce their news.

A small cake arrives in the post from your friends Claire and Mark and when you bite into it you realise you have a mouthful of wedding invitation.

A cake has a date for the wedding iced on the top and a photograph is put into the bride's FB page (most likely.)

I think a wedding reveal cake just has 2 contrasting sides.
