I've had a couple of friends recently reply to fairly innocuous messages I have sent them recently in a manner I can only think is offensive.

For example, one asked me what I had been up to one morning and I said I had had to cancel meeting some friends from a term time baby group as the weather was shit, and I got a looooong message back saying how she thought all baby groups were shit and she prefers to go for long walks (which I do as well) and not spend time with her brain emulsifying....

I'm pretty outspoken but I feel very much at the moment like I spend a lot of time with people ramming their opinions down my throat and if I said anything back I alway seem to end up looking like the one who has the problem!

Or maybe they're just being friendly and chatty?

Oh! I've never had a biscuit before! Am I being a dick? I thought it was her as I thought she was being a big mean with her comments about the baby group! Is it me?

Not really understanding your example op. Why would you cancel meeting friends for a baby group, what does bad weather have to do with it or term time? Totally confused.

Oh as in I was meeting friends from a baby group at a local park in the holidays rather than going to the baby group.

Why will your brain be emulsifying because you're talking to other women or men?(had a couple of fellas in our baby groups) I've made brilliant friends from my baby group, said baby now nearly 8yrs old. My baby group friends consist of a chemist, a millionaire property mogul, a shelf stacker, a dog groomer , sales directors, recruitment officers, and a few sahms believe me when we get together we don't talk kids and babies!
You can walk alone anytime, she sounds a bit judgemental or insecure socialising other people...
