AIBU to think that nobody should pay such high prices for baby clothes?
What's a good thing to buy from Mamas & Papas? It's so ridiculously expensive!!!
We've got a voucher for £20 and I refuse to use it on a £17 baby t-shirt that will be worn a few times and outgrown :)

Any advice?

Does it run out?

How about waiting and getting something for Christmas/Christmas outfit etc.

I bought my twins their bouncy chairs from Mamas and Papas (in the sale) and they're fantastic!! I think we paid about £24 for each one.

Blablabla1984 · 05/09/2016 16:10

Yes it does run out in 2 weeks. We don't need any equipment like pushchairs, car seats and bouncers.

How old is/are DC?

chitofftheshovel · 05/09/2016 16:19

Stand outside the shop and sell it?

mrsvilliers · 05/09/2016 16:21

Blanket? Toy? I have to say though that YABU in my book, bought our buggy from there 5.5 years ago and it's still going strong! They even replaced part of the chassis free of charge when it was well out of warranty and gave us new wheels to boot.

Baby snug - not needed till sitting but their version of a Bumbo - loved ours.

Some lovely toys - for in the future maybe.

Tiggeryoubastard · 05/09/2016 16:25

My mamas and Papas 3 in 1 went through my three and our friends three. Then was passed on. And nobody is forced to buy the clothes. Buy a toy.

WanderingTrolley1 · 05/09/2016 16:25

But toys.

Blablabla1984 · 05/09/2016 16:30

mrsvillers We got our pushchair there and we love it!!

But as my DS is almost 2 and not in a need of any equipment I thought the clothes are quite expensive.

The clothes are great quality though IMO.

Poocatcherchampion · 05/09/2016 16:34

I hate it! It is massively expensive

How about a nice pressie for someone who is expecting? Or vests / pants etc?

Poocatcherchampion · 05/09/2016 16:35

Dressing gown! Size up!

ALemonyPea · 05/09/2016 16:36

Are there any nice blankets around £20?

mrsvilliers · 05/09/2016 16:41

The jumpers and coats aren't too bad OP. How about this gilet? www.mamasandpapas.com/product-cord-checked-gilet/s0014358/type-s/

It's not an item I would ever have thought to buy but ds got given a gilet aged 2 and we found it so useful I've bought them ever since.
