AIBU or is the owner of this cafe absolutely raving mad? Sick note if requesting gluten free food

I stumbled upon this facebook page yesterday.

Owner has had enough of people on "faddy diets" and now wants proof of coeliac condition before hw will serve you gluten free food.

His posts are outrageous and really close, if not over the line!

He also demands 5 euro corkage fee for breastfeeding in his cafe. At forst I thought it was a parody account but no.

Read through the page!

I love my best friend to death, but it drives me crazy how every time we go out she causes a huge fuss about needing a gluten-free restaurant, then inevitably has a couple of wines and goes and eats a load of (not gluten-free) cakes and biscuits.

Caipora

Italians do it do

"can I have a kitchen samgwich?"
and
"I love cooking in my Chicken"

I find it hilarious TBH and honestly can't understand why or how it was big news in Brazil with a "Anti White Moose" campaign going in the media with a "people against the white moose cafe" FB page and everything LOL

He is a master at trolling the trolls

I can't find any record of it in Brazil other than BBC Brazil. To be honest I think it was only a big deal with the European dwelling Brazilians. I told DH and he said they've been out of so Brazil long, they were probably lacking vitamin D Grin

I want to go to Dublin now, just to go to his cafe!

Love the term Gluten twat Grin I have Coeliac disease and have noticed in the UK when I request gluten free food they ask if I'm asking for allergy reasons or not so I guess they get a lot of gluten twats.

I don't know if this is the same article as the BBC
br.sputniknews.com/mundo_insolito/20160225/3675547/brasil-vira-piada-briga-dono-bar-irlandes.html

It was nuts for a while tbh

A WORD OF THANKS TO THE ‘GLUTEN INTOLERANT’
I would like to thank most sincerely all of you who have been so offended by my posts over the past few days. Because of you guys, our little café in North Dublin has featured in 43 news articles across the globe, we have appeared on 14 different radio and TV shows in countries as far as New Zealand and the US, we have gained 25 thousand new fans, the café itself has never been busier (our takings have increased by 57%), but much more importantly than all of this, not one person has demanded gluten-free food since my original post on Saturday. So, while there is no doubt that you provide us with endless hours of entertainment, it appears that you are good for business too.
Paulie
P.S. You’re still fucking idiots.

Oh and he says who don't have to bring a doctor's note any more. You have to bring the doctor!

In 15 minutes his post has been liked by 1,500 people and attracted 143 comments. Of course he's a marketing genius. Go Paulie!
