AIBU?

nothing. Well, he carried on with the washing up.

So, DS2 screaming hystrically as doesn't want to be put down. DS1 throwing a tantrum because he wants his milk now and meanwhile the vomit is soaking into the circuitry.

Would you have expected a little help - perhaps just cuddling DS2 and getting DS1 to take time out while you mopped up the puke?

Or should I just be grateful that I've got a DH who does the washing up? (and that, very out of character, I actually bought the 'whatever happens' cover that came with the laptop)

Judge me! (you know you want to...)

Regardless of whether the washing up is a new thing for him, a little help just to get DS2 cleaned up and allow you to carry out damage control to the laptop is not too much to ask!

I agree with lowfat

it would obvious to take child off you and allow you to clean up the laptop OR jump to the job of saving laptop whilst you dealt with the children

oh and have a gold star for getting the 'whatever happens' cover for the laptop......bet you thought you'd never need it

Did you ask him to look after the kids why you mopped up the laptop? Perhaps he thought you had it all under control.

I would have expected help, & wouldn´t expect to have to ask for help either!

Why on earth would you need to ask for help - I'm assuming there was at least a little bit of a shriek from you, the hurling noise from one child, and the general demands from the other - why on earth wouldn't he hear the emergency noises and come and help!?!

I am now imagining lots of scenarios where the laptop broke and the retailer refused to give her a new one saying baby vomit was not covered and she really wanted to coome back to this thread for help in forcing them to give her a new laptop but she couldn't because it was before the days of smart phones so she had no internet.

What a tough time of it she must have had Grin.

reallyboredatwork May I politely suggest you read the date of the thread before you post. No idea how you're getting to them but this isn't the only Zombie you've brought up tonight. Annoying for posters who bother to give advice then find out it's irrelevant. We have enough trolls, we do not need to add a hoard of Zombies.
