I'm with you. They were going off here last night for some reason.

YABU I'm in Edinburgh in 15 minutes we are about to have the mother of all firework shows, (end of the festival) .

However, YANBU for random garden events!

Am sitting with my coat on wondering if I CBA'd to go and see if I can see the end of the Edinburgh fest fireworks from a high place round the corner. They would be visible from my house if it wasn't for the twitting trees with their twatting foliage . Instead we just get all of the bang and none of the sparkle.

Yep, the finale is on now, hoping DS doesn't wake up. Been going on/off for an hour. FFS!!!! SO GLAD IT WILL ALL BE OVER and can finally walk to work/back from work on the actual PAVEMENT!

I can see them from the living room windows but I don't f care ("Oh, have you seen the fireworks/must be great to see them from your flat." NO, IT BLOODY ISN'T, COULDN'T CARE LESS!)

4am on Sunday morning fireworks were going off right near my house was quite a good display i couldn't get back to sleep after 😡 fuck knows what that was about

Driving home from a rehearsal last night (edinburgh people that's Dido and Anaeus at the Chuchill 2nd week in October) saw lots of fireworks but really can't be bothered. We have our town back. Yippee

I cant help being cynical about the real eiosk of a terrorist threat when kids can buy fireworks from a supermarket and set them off on the street.

I love them. I went to see them last night and I thought they were great - first time I had been in the gardens to see them for a few years. I do know what you mean - I wasn't as keen on them when my son was little and they woke him up.
