To not go to a wedding at 36 weeks pregnant?

I'm Invited to a wedding at around 36 weeks pregnant.

The main issue is that it is abroad, and if I were to go into labour, then it would obviously complicate matters somewhat.

I could take a ferry and drive, which I assume would be allowed, but I'm not particularly comfortable with that.

It is a reasonably close friend, who I think may get annoyed. WIBU to turn down the invite? If it was a UK wedding I would go, but I don't feel like going abroad in late pregnancy is a good idea. (Dh would not have be coming)

I know someone who went to a wedding at 37 weeks, she did lots of dancing and was having a great time - then she went into labour during the reception. Don't go!

I went on a 90 minute flight both ways at 36 weeks with my first child & was fine, I had a letter from my obstetrician & wasn't even asked how pregnant I was by anyone. However that was because I was comfortable to travel, if you aren't sure then don't, it's only a wedding.

After a problem free pregnancy I went into unexpected labour at 34 + 2 weeks. I'd go to a local wedding at 36w but wouldn't chance one abroad.

Thank you for reassuring me I'm not bu.

Well done to the single poster who made a wedding abroad at this stage, I won't go though: the cons far outweigh the pros.
