Just ordered take away, chicken jalfrezi, rice, nan and chips - got home and i have beef jalfrazi; i don't like beef in a curry! Would i be unreasonable to telephone and let them know?
I order from here regularly and they are lovely. Wwud

Googled spice bags. They look utterly repulsive. Ditto white pudding. Envy

What's wrong with a delicious white pudding? Don't diss it till you tried it.
As for spice bags - best restaurants sell chips covered in all kinds of seasoning. Spice bags are just normal people's version.

I've never seen white pudding in England but I do make a point of having it in Ireland whenever available as I like it, same for haggis in Scotland.

In England we just have black pudding and haggis is fairly widely available but only in supermarkets. It isn't generally sold in restaurants etc unless it is Burns Night and they are recognising that.

KoalaDownUnder · 29/08/2016 06:52

Wikipedia on white pudding: 'it consists of pork meat and fat, suet, bread and oatmeal formed into a large sausage'.

I am sorry, but I struggle to imagine a less appealing description! Grin

White pudding is lovely. I also love skirlie.

trafalgargal · 29/08/2016 07:10

I love white pudding and like the PP it's an essential when visiting Ireland.

Nowhere does it around here so I'm seriously considering a special trip to Kilburn to stock up on some (and maybe Golders Green for some salt beef at the same time Yum)

user1471552005 · 29/08/2016 07:14

They sell white pudding in Ireland? I thought it was a scottish thing?

BarbaraofSeville · 29/08/2016 07:35

koala seeing as imagined that white pudding was made from plasma or some other bodily liquid, that makes it sound quite benign, it's not too dissimilar to sausages really.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 29/08/2016 07:56

I see the OP never returned. Probably still suffering post-takeaway trauma. Or the after-effects of all those carbs! I am more Shock by that than the mix-up tbh.

dustarr73 · 29/08/2016 08:02

She is passed out with the carb overload.

Spice bags?? This sounds minging. Fucking minging. Though I'm so drunk of ear one right now!! HANGRY

And typing this in triple vision walking home...GrinGrinGrin at this.

BarbaraofSeville · 29/08/2016 08:14

Spicy bags don't look too bad, just fried chicken and chips with some peppers and chili on Confused.

If you find that repulsive don't whatever you do, look up parmos or munchy boxes Grin

KathySelden · 29/08/2016 08:27

They do Galtee and Conakilty white pudding in Morrisons! Black pudding is a revaluation in Ireland, so different from the fatty crap they have here!

CakeNinja · 29/08/2016 08:42

Was funny then dustarr, doesn't feel so funny this morning Envy Grin

Parmos look like vomit.

Buunychops · 29/08/2016 14:02

Best ever hangover cure is hot sweet tea, fried bread and white pudding.

Think of white pudding as cooked pate.
