Just ordered take away, chicken jalfrezi, rice, nan and chips - got home and i have beef jalfrazi; i don't like beef in a curry! Would i be unreasonable to telephone and let them know?
I order from here regularly and they are lovely. Wwud

Clash, a 3 in 1 is curry, chips, and rice all in the same tub. A 4 in 1 is that but with added pieces of chicken. Or sometimes chicken balls. I think they're grim, but DP loves them!

dustarr, omg, spice bags are massively popular where I am Grin. And munchy boxes

Housewife2010 · 27/08/2016 23:42

Surely the chips would get hideously soggy?

Sparklesilverglitter · 27/08/2016 23:44

I'd love a triple carb Yum!

CakeNinja · 27/08/2016 23:48

This thread has had me in stitches Grin

Ahem. Sorry op. Takeaway disappointment is awful. Have you called 101 to log it? snigger

dustarr73 · 27/08/2016 23:59

Housewife funnily enough no,not soggy.
Kitten im in Dublin,so assuming you are in Ireland as well.

IWouldLikeToSeeTheseMangoes · 28/08/2016 00:27

cake isn't 101 for reporting incidents which DON'T require an emergency response? Whereas this situation clearly does Grin

KittensWithWeapons · 28/08/2016 00:47

Housewife, they don't get soggy. Just all curry soaked and delicious. Grin

dustarr, I'm about 50k north of you Smile

dustarr73 · 28/08/2016 01:07

Do you think the breakfast roll KittensWithWeapons will blow their mind.

KoalaDownUnder · 28/08/2016 05:13

Chips with curry is weird.

Realised I haven't had a takeaway curry since I left the UK...in 2004. Shock

I eat plenty of Thai takeaway, though, don't worry. Wink

This is about as pointless as the rest of the thread, isn't it? Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 28/08/2016 05:31

I'm just impressed with your triple carb combination op Grin

Flum · 28/08/2016 05:44

Flum · 28/08/2016 05:50

We have no takeaway opportunities here. Well we have bike .wndiy's Pollo and Burger King but nothing you might actually want to eat

myownperson · 28/08/2016 06:01

Dustarr and Kitten I'd forgotten how good that combination is! I'm originally from a bit further north again. Nearly 20 years since I lived there but one of my favourites was a gravy half and half from the Chinese takeaway. Carton with half egg fried rice, half chips covered in gravy. I have mine with onions too. The curry sauce version also good.

Thatsmeinthecorner2016 · 28/08/2016 06:09

I have never tried a spice bag Confused. We normally only order from an Indian restaurant and are rather traditional, i.e. no chips. Also, I have a weakness for Peshwari naan, yum, so don't even need rice.
I don't get the charm of 3 in 1 though. Hate, hate, hate soggy chips, any sauce has to be separate or I'm not eating it.

Buunychops · 28/08/2016 06:54

Damn it you made me think Spice Bags had finally made it to the uk......

BarbaraofSeville · 28/08/2016 07:35

Maybe curry and chips is more popular where chips and gravy is a thing? That seems to be rather regional.

Oddly I like Chinese curry and chips but not Indian. Never heard of a spice box or spice bag Confused

AlpacaPicnic · 28/08/2016 13:26

Chips and curry sauce is bloody lush! But then I'm Welsh but trapped in England Sad

I like my curries half-and-half...
I'm super jealous of the concept of a munchybox, I've seen them on Buzzfeed and they give me the craves...

KittensWithWeapons · 29/08/2016 00:32

Definitely dustarr! Ah, a breakfast roll. I haven't had one of those since my clubbing days. Best hangover food ever! Sausages, rashers, black pudding, white pudding, and a gooey, oozy fried egg or two.

KittensWithWeapons · 29/08/2016 00:33

I've been told that white pudding isn't a thing in England. Is that true? You're missing out!!

KittensWithWeapons · 29/08/2016 00:39

Also red cheddar. When we go shopping in NI we can only ever find mature white cheddar. I couldn't live without mature red cheddar. It's the business for toasties!

myown, my local chipper do gravy, peas, onions and chips, all in the same tray. Mmm. It's delectable. They'll also add a couple of sausages, if you want Wink.

CakeNinja · 29/08/2016 02:51

Spice bags?? This sounds minging. Fucking minging. Though I'm so drunk of ear one right now!! HANGRY

CakeNinja · 29/08/2016 02:52

And typing this in triple vision walking home...

Iwasbornin1993 · 29/08/2016 03:00

Kittens white pudding is quite hard to find but you can get it over here in some places! My favourite thing about visiting family in Dublin is getting to have white pudding with breakfast as the norm Grin

LucyBabs · 29/08/2016 03:10

Spices bags are just not what they say they are! I'm surprised they're popular outside of Dublin.
Oh breakfast rolls. When the kids go back to school I always treat myself on a Monday morning.
And yes all currys should have a side order of chips!
