I see this comment on here all the time! Someone will post on an (often bizarre) thread and say "hello Paul, is that you?" Ok maybe it's not Paul but you get the gist!

This thread has gone off at a tangent but to answer OPs question I think people write "Sharon is that you? if for example there was a thread about ozzy osbourne (unlikely I know) and then someone popped up on the thread with an abnormal amount of inside knowledge only his wife would know so other posters will ask that question.

Liz, He used to spend the whole of lunchtime eating marmite sandwiches with satsumas. He was quite good at metal work I think but absolute rubbish at PE.
