Franked instead of stamped?

Would you be offended if you got a birthday card and the envelope was franked instead of stamped?

It has never crossed my mind until a friend mentioned that she received a birthday card that was franked from an office franking machine. She thought it's a bit cheap and unthoughtful.

Sure the card and message inside is what matters rather than the envelope? Your thoughts?

I get offended if the card isn't hand drawn, hand delivered & accompanied by a string quartet. Grin

I like my birthday wishes to be inked on the buttocks of a Brazilian male model.
