What would you expect of a neighbour.

I am a mid terraced house. The house next door is the end of terrace. They have a full width glass (or Perspex or something ) top conservatory. The end of this is a brick wall in my garden next to the kitchen door. They have started hosing their roof with boiling hot water and this is spraying on to my paths. Luckily I am cooking and everyone is indoors.
Would it be unreasonable to expect a neighbour to come and advise the next household of their plans?

They have no regard for any neighbours and assume they have superior rights above all others such as their path is illegal, they have built over the drains and other services and have a hedge well above the roof of the houses.

Sounds really dangerous as someone in your household could get burned if they walked outside at the wrong time. Definitely say something

If the water really is boiling then you should give them a knock and explain, they probably haven't done it maliciously though if it's just spray, they probably don't even know.

If they do it again after you've told them then they are dicks and you are welcome to one of my babies gross nappies to shove through their letter box

I have not touched the water but I can see the steam coming off and the steamed up glass on the conservatory.
They are not the kind of people who can be reasoned with. I act in a civil manner taking in parcels etc but they never even speak to anyone in the street.

I purposely walked to the bin through the front door and the passageway and gave the bin lid a slam.
It almost makes me wish I had a baby with gross nappies so I might just take up your offer Wind

I have 4 month old twins so plenty to go around I also hate my neighbours so understand your frustration it's the worst having to deal with it every bloody day with no getting away from them

Ow Wow, Wind I expect you get through a lot of poo ey nappies in a day. I have been here longer than them but they are so obnoxious that I am thinking of moving. There are other reasons to move but they are definitely on the list. The dynamic in the street is getting very strange and I don't like it. Especially as I am on my own (only adult) here. They also create a lot of noise. I actually think they are hoping I will move.

Oh no I hope you don't feel pushed out because of annoying neighbours, trouble if you can move and find you have even worse next door - our last next door neighbour used to wake us up banging on the door telling us the dog was barking, we have a cat

It's not going to be really boiling. It's probably just attached to the hot water tap. Sometimes I use a bucket of warm (but easily put my hand in) water to wash the car and that'll often steam off.

I have my eyes on a detached property. Negotiations are on going. I would have like to remain here but no point is making my life bad because of an ignorant pair from (a known bad area).

I have a friend in the area I am trying to get to who gives a good report on the area.

How can boiling water be put through a hospeipe.....unless their tap is attached to a kettle?!

If you turn up the thermostat on the boiler for the water temperature the water can then be made very hot. Maybe not actually 100 degrees C but still blooming hot. Don't be pedantic. These neighbours are selfish and ignorant, they just don't think they should show any common decency. Most decent people would say we are going to use a hose or some other thing that would affect a neighbour or the neighbour's property. They are a bunch of ham actors
