To want to stitch his scrotum to his penis without gas and air?

... Okay to be fair I am really angry and am venting on here rather than at my best friend. My best friend is about to have her second child. She is 43, years of IVF for the first and fell for the second naturally. We had coffee yesterday and she said she was hoping to give birth naturally. Her DH who was in the kitchen at the time gave a snort. BF demanded to know what he meant by that and he said that she had hardly given birth naturally LAST time. BF got weepy and reminded him that she had given birth without drugs but had needed gas and air to be stitched back up. His comment was; Yeah. You wimped out'.

He meant it too. He is very anti drugs, medical intervention stuff anyway, though to be fair I am not his greatest fan (as I find him quite obnoxious and controlling) so anything he says winds me up. I left soon after that because BF was getting anxious and upset and it was not helping me being there.

But I want so badly to tell him that until he can pass a watermelon out of his arse he doesn't get to have an opinion on what 'wimping out' means.

I am really really really cross and feeling quite impotent as BF is literally days from giving birth so does not need me to give her my feelings on this so venting 'safely' via MN.

He needs something like a dislocated shoulder. Let's see him get that back in without pain relief.

Twunt.

This has made me so so angry! My abusive exH was exactly the same and reading this thread has brought it all back.

After a hugely traumatic birth with my DD where I was in labour for a ridiculously log time, forceps and a huge amount of stitches and we nearly lost her I was informed that I 'would not be allowed' a c-section with any subsequent DC we might have as I wouldn't be able to look after them properly after a c-section Angry

Your friend is worth so much more than this twat!

PersianCatLady · 19/08/2016 15:01

Sorry did your exH tell you that or the hospital?

Applejack29 · 19/08/2016 15:04

Sorry I didn't explain properly, I was ranting!! ExH told me that, he didn't want to take any time off work to help.

Grrrr. My mother is also anti-medication and we were never vaccinated as children. She's now giving my DS a hard time because said DS had induction drugs and pain relief during labour. The baby is now 5 months old and is a bad sleeper and suffers from reflux, and DM is telling everyone it's all DS's fault because of the drugs she had during birth. Why my DS puts up with it and her I'll never know.

Grannypants1 · 19/08/2016 15:13

Cut them off and give them to her as stress bills for dealing with his shit

Babyzoo · 19/08/2016 15:16

Ha olives I had pethadine with my first and he was the content, good sleeper. Nothing at all with my second not even gas and air and he was the refluxy, unsettled bad sleeper.

Your dms theory is batshit.

Olives106 · 19/08/2016 15:16

Oops, clearly DS in my previous post should read DSis. I don't have a son who's given birth! 😀

PersianCatLady · 19/08/2016 15:29

That is what I thought but I just wanted to check before I said this - "your exH sounds like a complete arsehole".

Applejack29 · 19/08/2016 15:33

Thank you PersianCatLady he is! Grin

blitheringbuzzards1234 · 19/08/2016 15:38

What a horrible bloke. And with the rest of us I'd like to kick him in the bollocks (join the queue) then when he is crying like a baby ask him if he'd like some medication.

Poor mum to be doesn't need this type of idiot in the delivery room with her.

I almost never post on mn these days but I had to add my voice to the chorus: what a despicable cockweasel. OP I know you've asked for the thread to go poof but I hope you have taken heart from the unanimous agreement that this man is a pathetic worm. Much love to your friend Flowers
