School uniform

My DS stays with his dad 2 nights per week and every second Saturday. Ex gives me £100 per month. Would you expect ex to buy his own uniform(s) or should I be buying and giving him a uniform for the days DS goes to school from there?

Go halfs on having uniforms he uses all the time. Do you but seperate clothes for him to wear at yours and at his?

Slightly different situation as mine don't stay at their dad's during the week but I buy the uniforms and he reimburses 50%.

I wouldn't pay for extra uniform for his dad's house personally - we send DSD to school twice a week and pick her up twice a week, so we have 2 pairs of trousers, 2 skirts, 2 shirts and 2 jumpers that we buy at the start of term. They no doubt get 'mixed up' with the uniform her mum buys her, but neither parents mind as the fact is we send/collect 2 days a week so provide the uniform for 2 days a week.

I'd suggest your ex buys enough uniform to send in for 2 days a week too.

We also split the cost of shoes and PE kit so her mum doesn't have to pay for that by herself, because she shouldn't have to.

I've already bought four lots, but wanted to keep a spare. He told DS he was going to buy a set and hasn't and we've started back. So now I've had to send one over for tomorrow. It's cost me over £250 and he's not bought so much as a set of pencils. And I always pay for new shoes and stuff during the year. The most he's ever bought is a pack of polo shirts. t's just that things are civil just now, so I didn't want to rock the boat, but I've also got summer childcare to pay this month, so I'm feeling resentful I know a lot of people here get nothing.

He should pay half of the uniform costs as he has not bought a separate set- he knows this too hence stating he was going to buy a set.

He only gives £100 a month and doesn't help with school uniform, summer childcare costs, shoes, pencils nothing what a cheek!

He's never paid any childcare, summer or after school. But the summer childcare this year was ultimately "my choice" (another thread). It was only 4 days thankfully as opposed to four weeks previous years, so I'm over that one.

He does have another NR child to pay for. And he pays DS monthly football fees, provides packed lunch/lunch money on his mornings. And he did eventually pay not-quite-half of the last school trip after I chinned him. I just really hate having to bring stuff like this up. A few gestures would be nice. But when he's had 4 trips abroad this year and a 5th one planned, I get a bit of rage building now and then!
