Hello! Mumsnet Jobs team here. We've noticed this thread is fairly old now, and some of the information is out of date. We've put together this article of advice, tips and tricks to start working from home. Alternatively, you can look at the work from home opportunities on Mumsnet Jobs. We hope this is helpful!

I don't know anyone who works from home in rl but I see it all the time on mumsnet.

If you work from home, what is your job?

Obviously not referring to sahp here!

I'm in the US, but I'm an Administrative Law Judge. I conduct public assistance hearings. I usually do the hearings from home, as well as writing my decisions from home. Occasionally, like tomorrow, I'm scheduled to do face to face hearings, so I go to the local Family Services office to do that. But mostly I work from home.

Marketing consultant/contractor - lots of writing, which I love, almost all (4/5 days a week) from home, largely school hours.

As PP said further up, I'm aware that I'm very lucky.
