To ask for inspirational sign inspiration

I've had a really really shit year. I'm now in my new house and mostly feeling optimistic and hopeful. I used to hate inspirational signs - but now feel I could really use one - something to hang by the front door as a little pep talk to myself.

However intried to find one yesterday and most made me Hmm

Do you have one and what does it say?

I have an old Irish blessing on the inside of my front door, which I was given after my grandparents died. It had hung on the back of their door for decades. It says: "may the roads rise with you, and the wind be always at your back, and may the Lord hold you in the hollow of his hands."

It's probably not the sort of thing you're looking for, but it brings me comfort and makes me smile, despite the fact that I am an atheist! I guess that's because of the connection to my grandparents more than anything though.

I hate these too. But I recently felt drawn towards one that said 'It's SO good to be home'. I always have that thought walking through the front door.

I cannot stand the lovey dovey ones. Especially the ones that just say random words like ' home love family trust smile laughter calm' etc

I have a little ornament with 'there's no set path, follow your heart' and it doesn't make me want to puke.

Stars can't shine without darkness. This quote resonates with me as I've just come through the toughest year having been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer last year aged 34. I love a feel good quote!

Sorry, posted too soon. I meant to say are there any phrases/sayings that are personal to you? Something your parents/grandparents used to say for example? If so, you could get it printed on a poster or a sign.

I often think of somethings similar from a film mum (can I call you that?!) - similar but mentioned sun on your face (I liked it despite wondering if that would make you squint and be tiresome after half a mile)

I have one on my desk that says

Something to look forward to

Which keeps me focussed when things are a bit batshit crazy and I turn into a pessimistic drama queen.

Inspirational signs aren't my thing at all but I went through a shitty time a few years ago and some friends gave me a sign saying "always believe that something wonderful is about to happen".

My granny would always quote poetry at me or old Scottish sayings. I should try to remember some of those.

I recently made a 'gallery wall' in DS's room with a mix of photos/pictures of things he likes/quotes etc
All the kids quotes I could find were a bit young for him so I just thought of some, chose a font I liked on word printed them out and framed them
Much more personal and they're little things I say to him/songs I sang to him as a baby/films we watch together etc so mean much more than a generic saying

Could you do that?

Oh I just thought, some of my favourite quotes are from Dr. Seuss books. I have quite a few dotted around my classroom. There's a good list of some of the best ones here

I've googled. I quite like "today's rain is tomorrow's whisky" except sounds a bit browbeaten and expecting rain every day.
