AIBU to ask what your experiences are of being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult female?

Posting for traffic. What were your symptoms, how did you get diagnosed etc

My wife eventually got a diagnosis after years of symptoms - mainly lack of attention span, depressive symptoms, hyperactivity etc. She has been prescribed atomoxetine which has made a massive difference

I live in germany so my advice won't be relevant to you but I was diagnosed earlier this year. Symptoms too many to list! Mostly forgetfulness and disorganisation. Also struggling to keep self motivated with anything - even things I want to do. My gp was dismissive at first but when I pushed for it she referred me. The psychiatrist said I am a textbook case.
